Small positives but thought Burns put jn a good shift and McNabney looked good again. In general a pretty dire performance though.

The defense is such a worry, only once tonight did we stop their attack, every other time they scored or made a mistake. Out tactic seems to be hold on until they make a mistake, we need to be way more proactive and it's been the same for at least the last 5 years or so.
In attack we are too predictable, we move it wide too soon because we don't have any ball carriers. Therefore teams rarely commit to rucks and spread out so we have no space. Then we don't commit to ruck either so the like of Richie sense the opportunity and go after the ball hence multiple turnovers conceded with only 1 I remember won!

Echo the previous comments, we were beaten up at home by a team that simply wanted it more. Something rotten at ulster, there are too many coasting along just surprised and happy to have a pro career.

No disrespect to any player but the young ones are no longer being allowed or given time to develop, McFarland is throwing them in believing that they are ready, they are not , we will struggle in Europe and that hopefully will start the ball rolling that we need a change , it will happen , clock is ticking , however JP needs to move on , it would be better for him , he has done what he can , but time for fresh structures,

Leinster and Connacht playing different gravy to us

Agreed, I will be pleasantly surprised if we don't end up with 8 losses in row after the last 2.

Yep. We're the watery crap made from granules.CIMANFOREVER wrote:Leinster and Connacht playing different gravy to us
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

Was anyone genuinely even the slightest bit surprosed by Matty Rea's performance?

Despite our hurt feelings, we are the fourth Province.
Is part of our game plan (a) not to consistently retain the ball after a tackle and (b) to scrupulously avoid going for a turnover at the breakdown (c) to attack as individuals, rather than as a team?
Has Rob Baloucoune lost confidence in his turn of speed?
Jamie Ritchie is brill

Coming up on 4 years since baloucoune scored against racing 92 in a breakout season. Can anyone say he has developed significantly since then? The guy should have 20+ caps by now and a world cup under his belt. Who is to blame for this waste of talent?solidarity wrote:Despite our hurt feelings, we are the fourth Province.

Probably not but why did it take so long to get him off?
I’ve walked off the pitch with a broken leg and a ruptured Achilles.
Not at the same time admittedly.
Rubbish tonight.
When was the last time Stu got subbed? He’s been poor since the WC.
Dunno if it’s the brad pitt hair, the brad pitt ‘tache or the brad pitt boots.

So he’s a Warren Gatland for not picking the young ‘uns and a Warren Gatland for picking them?!
Wasn’t as though we had a team of kids tonight, was it?

Will that be on next week’s show or are you after getting Diona Doherty in place of Ferris?jean valjean wrote: ↑Sat Dec 02, 2023 11:41 pmComing up on 4 years since baloucoune scored against racing 92 in a breakout season. Gonna Party Like It's 1999

Double that to watch Girls Aloud.
Actually, that makes them sound good value.
Maybe not so much as I saw ‘em when there was five.
