I don’t own any Irish kit cos I’m a Lionel but is it normal for there to be no sign of any Ulster stuff?

Mrs justinr 73 went to the game with a mixture of the two.
Fairly standard in my experience. If Ulster had a green top ( maybe the only colour we haven't had?) that might be acceptable.

Do Lionels wear club kit when watching internationals?

Lionels eh? You wouldn't catch Ulster fans wearing garish sports jackets to a game >EW

Should Italy have been allowed to retake that last penalty  and the French marched 10 metres?
French twice encroached on the 10 metres before Garbisi took the penalty.
The opposing team may not do anything to delay the kick or obstruct the kicker, including intentionally taking, throwing or kicking the ball out of reach of the team awarded the penalty.

Sanction: Second penalty or free-kick, 10 metres in front of the original mark. The second penalty or free-kick must not be taken before the referee has made the mark.

Absolutely and Nigel concurs. Strange that was missed in this day of microscopic video analysis.

With their U20s being robbed by a ball falling over, Italy must be really angry now. Watch out, Scotland and Wales.

Was it not the senior team this happened to?

Danty got a 4 game ban (IF he does tackle school) for his red card.

Correct Neill; got the two games mixed up. Their u20s won, although they nearly contrived to throw it away at the very end.

McCarthy and Beirne were very poor. Despite the hype about Beirne he is a Number 6. He is Henderson'lite' when he plays second row. McCarthy was supposed to be the second coming of our Lord. Today he was crucified and it wasn't even Good Friday.
But sure the Southern meedya will blame Hendy.
Game was over once Murray came on. Shanners would have been better.

Sticks in the throat to say it, but the better team on the day won.
