MCB v Ballyclare moved to this afternoon - not sure of the time. Probably because of the snow forecast for tonight/tomorrow.

Ballymena Academy 11 - 11 Friends. Another cracking match with Friends unlucky not to win.

I heard Friends should have won it. Missed conversion from just to the right of the posts proved crucial.

As I predicted from the beginning......MCB will lift the honours again.....it will not be easy however as I think they havent hit true form yet and if they dont get out of 2nd gear against Ballymena/Friends it could run away from them. Its good to see a strong run from the Lisburn teams as well especially the Friends lads who have proved a handful this year. BRA V MCB will make for a cracking final.

The final might as well have been their first match against RSA, MCB for cup and RSA for shield would be a reasonable bet.

Ballymena beat FSL yesterday with the last play of the game and apparently didnt deserve the win at all.

Having watched both the games I think the correct expression would be, "either team could have won". Friends unlucky and probably shaded it over the two games but Ballymena put in a huge effort to pull it out of the bag yesterday.

Great performance from both sides.

I never thought I would say this but I have to agree with Fatty - sorry - Dewi Barnes. First half yesterday, Ballymena had more possession and presuure; second half it was all Friends' until the 34th minute when Ballymena broke out of their 22 to score the winning try in the very last play of the game. Ref said afterwards that fulltime was up before Ballymena scored but as there was not a break in play the match had to go on.

Great credit to Ballymena for keeping goin' to the end and best of luck against MCB.

PS DEWI, Leave the pies down and get the match report and photos posted on "Intouch"
