wasted on the wing, and detrimental to his development.

THERE HAS TO BE AN EYE ON THE FUTURE!!!

the likes of mcfadden cave earls spence will be occupying the 12 and 13 shirts in the not too distant future. paddy, BOD and Darcy arent going to be around forever.

earls has probably been lined up in every position bar tight-head prop for munster and it has held him back. he burst onto the scene a few years ago but is still no closer to nailing down a start for ireland. farting around, and giving players a game in a position that's no theirs, just to make up numbers, isnt right. If you're going to do anything at least stick darcy onto the wing and put mcfadden in at 12 - at least then you have his club colleague and mentor assisting him through the game
?????? - Didn't know Darcy was a winger!!! :duh:

has played there a lot, especially when he was fitting back into the leinster team when coming back after breaking his arm.
if bowe and trimble are out and fitzgerald is struggling for form the alternatives aren't astounding. big shaggy?

Pleez lord not Johne Murphy! Another who moves about the backline as much as Earls but with less success and the pace of Anthony Horgan.

McFadden has played as much on the wing as D'Arcy I'd say, and Kidney would rather put him on the wing than centre for a few games. I agree however he is the future in the centre and shouldnt be messed about.

Looks like this 6N could be a write off, and we'll just be crossing our fingers no further injuries for the HEC quarters

Ian Nagle will start for the Wolfhounds on Friday as both Donnacha Ryan and Dan Tuohy, named in the original squad, have been ruled out because of injury.
