With cdburnerxp it should be a simple case of dragging and dropping the file, I wouldn't bother with any of the other settings mentioned as the default should be what you need.

So it's a data disc then?

Yes...I think I've been doing everything as should be...set for disc at once...you say the iso 9660 should be default...so my only query now is my burning software this packet writing thingy...how would you know.

Anyway I' going to try download some other software and start again..if that fails I will take up the kind offer from a poster to do it for me. :D

Packet writing enables you to use rewritable media pretty much the way you'd use usb drive. It's unlikely disk burning software will do it without you specifically asking it to.
