Humphreys try against Stade in 99 was also a belter, given the the occasion and magnitude of the moment. The composure and individual brilliance to pull it off was fantastic.

About 50 seconds into recording.

No sign of the band, no idea how they attracted the supporters.

Nothing annoys me more than otherwise sensible people who say we don't miss Pienaar.

Steenson and Jackson exchanged late drop goals when we beat Exeter in the Heiney couple of seasons ago. Don't think there has been one since?

Pienaar with clock in red to win the game against the Dragons back when he first arrived is another I remember.

The BP seems to have have somewhat negated the DG as a scoring weapon, apart from at the death.

Ah the good old days when we could be reasonably sure of beating Connacht.

I'm divided between 2

Either the winning try agin Mexico this Saturday,

OR

The bonus point try against Racing the following Saturday.

I'll take either, me. :thumleft:

(but preferably both).

Reduce all place kicks to 2 points and increase a drop kick to 4.

Thus the 4 minute penalty would be a thing of the past and the Specialist place kicker might be a thing of the past and a degree of chance of missed penalty increased as kickers drop kick instead of place kick.

Try =5 points with place kick = 7 points:: with drop kick = 8 points

Penalty try = 7 points

Now that would put pressure on Captains and make draws hard and wins less certain.

1try DK = 8 = 2 DK penalties= 4 PK penalties or 1 DK penalty + 2 PK penalties .

And such changes would reduce the influence of the referee on the result as the result would be influenced by the decision of 2 people

The ref and the TMO.

OR

The coach and the water carrier (with walkie-talkie in the water bottle).

The decision to take a penalty is usually made be before the water carrier and in my book the TMO and Ref are one and the same ie the ref confirms the decision of the TMO or (vv)

Most rugby players don't have law/medical degrees these days. The captain's head would explode.

I think that you'd end up with too many drop goals like I believe they had in France in the recent past.
Get to the 22, go for a drop goal, it's boring.

One thing I'd like them to do is to drastically cut the length of time players get to take a place kick.
Yes, that's me in the avatar!
