given its a must win surely what the betting odds are will be irrelevant when it comes to play motivation.solidarity wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 8:24 pmHopefully it gives the lads another reason to come out breathing fire.

He won't drop Beirne or Ryan. It will happen. Take a screenshot.

Seems to be 7-2 for Ulster to win after leading at the break.jean valjean wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 2:31 pm Worth a punt at that price.

If he is lock number 4, he will be closer to 1 than 3, but if lock number 5 Shirley he will be closer to 3 than to 1?
Whoever is hooker, number 2, is equidistant between 1 and 3.

We know that. Farrell doesn't. It happened last season. Hendo was dropped for the opening game of the 6 nations last year. He only got back in the side when Ryan was injured and then Beirne also was injured.

I would put my trust in PO’C influencing Farrell to recognise Hendi’s undoubted ability and “rugby brain”. Paul knows that Hendi is the no 1 lock for running an efficient line out.
Re: Ulster v Leinster Sat Mar 6th 7:35pm KO
Agreed but I don't trust Farrell to do the right thing. Ryan's line-out calling has been abysmal but he is never called out for it.

Baird and Ryan are young and effort all over the pitch players whose engines are flat when it counts Henderson has the old head knows the role --Takes up his agreed station at the ruck and guards his channel --reliable and the energy is there when needed, second rows are not, normally, first up ball carriers in the Irish game unless inside the opposition 22. The players of choice being front row or back row forwards at pace.
Provided he fulfils his role there is know reason to drop him ( a try scorer doesn't deserve to be dropped and Henderson scores trys not something to many second rows are good at.)
Beirne is a mixed bag when he is good he is very good but he can fall foul of referees and become a penalty machine his game doesn't suit second row,he because he goes into rucks and fails to guard channels ,and he is not quite fast enough to to a 7 at International level . And playing 6 P'oM has been the No1 for a few years and provides the necessary aggressive edge to the Irish pack.

Ryan is the darling of the Irish Rugby media.

This the same guy who looked anonymous in an A game only a few weeks ago? Its funny how these guys are afforded time to build up form or even made the excuse of being jaded and overworked when others are thrown to the wolves on one poor performance.justinr73 wrote:Baird is catching him up.
