Great to see the LR special delegation getting onto the pitch this time.

That LAR second half was scary. Wet dream stuff.

Never seen a team physically take Leinster up the wrong'un so violently before.

Reading the comments on the BBC website a lot of complaining about Leinster players off their feet at rucks, the pace of the game makes it impossible for a Ref to pick up half of what was going on. Will be interesting to see if Ireland get refed more strictly at the world cup.
Congrats LAR and O'Gara, absolutely amazing performance above that of the vast majority of international teams.

It may be time for URC sides to forget about European games. We just can't compete with the French sides even with a home final.. Home grown players will never have the bulk of the Skeltons. I would be happy to concentrate on Leinster winning the URC next season. At least it's silverware.
Ironically, Leinster could still beat France in the RWC as the French won't have the players that LAR have. Sort of weird.

Spread out the Irish talent across the provinces and get more/higher grade NIQs.

As I understand it there was an incident in the tunnel around the referee's room involving Ronan O'Gara, Sean O'Brien, Johnny Sexton and Will Skelton among others. Ruaidhri O'Connor on Twitter.
I wonder did Seanie pīsh on O'Gara.

He says Sexton confronted the ref straight afterwards. I hope Skelton got a few digs in

If anyone thinks peyer shafted leinster they are seriously deluded. He had a poor game and the free for all he allowed at the breakdown was ultimately leinsters downfall, leading to the red card and VDF seemingly forgetting the laws of the game as it went on.

So no trophies for 2 seasons after basically giving up on the URC .

With a near Ireland team which is ranked 1 in the world plus home advantage in both competitions questions should be asked of the Lancaster/Cullen ticket.

Over to you Mr Fanning......even if you do it after the event

+1
Not a great game from Peyer but for anyone to take him on face to face after the match is nuts.
Will he ref any WC matches that Ireland are in? Darn tootin!

Once he started to properly penalise Leinster for crawling over the ball at the breakdown the game changed.

He did miss some clear and obvious errors around the rucks and mauls but not in any biased way imo.
In short Leinster did not lose because of the ref.

Summary of posts on Leinster a fan forum
Our scrum was roasted
We need more props
Kicking was rubbish
Couldn't change tactics
Ignored drop goal opportunities
Referee was biased

You would think they could make up their own excuses instead of using ours!

Ridiculous stuff, but Cullens team will be deemed to have underperformed. Crazy run in where they prioritised the Champions cup over URC and paid the price. There has to be a look at giving some sort of weeks break in these run ins- crazy difficult that even a squad of Leinsters depth struggle on two fronts , which is a testament to URC as well as EPCR. think the top two in the league not going straight to a SF in URC is a nonsense. Or just top 4 play off ie to SFs then final as of old.
In an arms race with the French even Leinster are struggling. Will this have a deeper impact on the view of Irelands invincibility? Also shows that Ireland need to be more than the sum of Leinster plus a few others.
