Re: B&I Lions 2013 Thread
Sad for Tommy. He was sure to be in the test team.
I just hope Gatland calls up Zebo, because it that chube Ashton gets the call, I really don't know if I could genuinely want the Lions to win.

Zebo isnt exactly notorious for his brave defence either
Visser has to go, him, Monye and Trimble are the only three that 'fit the bill' and the latter two dont start for their respective countries. If Ashton goes and plays on the same pitch as Farrell, ill be supporting Oz

Zebrother gets unjustified abuse on this forum, he's a talent. Visser is a flat track bully without much ability, the poor man's - nah, the man without an Brennan in his trousers - George North but not fit to lace George's boots. Moyne??????? People blamed ROG for blowing the last Lions tour but Moyne was a big factor, couldn't score in a brothel. Then we have Angry, well great season though he's had but if he can't get a pick in a weak Ireland squad, that Warren Gatland, Warren Gatland won't go near him.
Must be a Welshman not yet in Australia yet, or more left field, thon uncapped Wasps lad.
Where I want to warmly shake you by the hand rather than the throat would be the prospect of you joining me on the "Go Aussie" benches.

Utter bullshit oul haun'Russ wrote:Visser is ten times the player Zebo is
Zebrother will be playing international rugby for a long time, Visser is already found out as nothing more than a hard runner with no kicking game & an appalling defensive lack of game.

Baggy, please point out where I said Zebo was a bad player? Defence is an obviously problem for him, you cant deny it. Other than that, he is a fine player, just not the Gatland mould, unlike Visser, who seems a likely option to go, but Cuthburt will take the starting test spot. I also like your comment 'the man with no ability' yet has scored 6 in 11 for Scotland, and finished top try scorer in the league for 3 consecutive years. Say what you want but thats a pretty handy guy to have on the bench in a test match, if hes called up.

Re: B&I Lions 2013 Thread
Team named for Combined Country game:
1. Corbisiero
2. Hibbard
3. Cole
4. Gray
5. Evans
6. SOB
7. Tipuric
8. Heaslip
9. Murray
10. Hogg
11. North
12. Roberts
13. BOD
14. Cuthburt
15. Maitland
16. Best
17. Grant
18. Stevens
19. AW Jones
20. Falatau
21. Phillips
22. Davies
23. Halfpenny
Fairly excited for parts of that team selection, others not so sure.
The back row has a real good look to it with a nice balance of paper, probably the best available but sadly probably wont start the tests. Excited to see what Hogg can do at 10, despite the inevitability of poor service from Murray. Slightly worried that if he has a shocker or gets injured who will cover 10? Halfpenny? Good to see Roberts and BOD getting to line up together again as well

Should be the test Back row, but wont be.
Test centres in places, unfortunately test wingers too, sad not to see Hogg at fullback as I think that should be the test backline with Philips and Sexton.
Serious lack of 10 cover!

Still no Kearney, why's he there if he's crocked?
Gonna Party Like It's 1999
Re: B&I Lions 2013 Thread
Confirmed this morning Zebo for the Lions.
Maybe that explains his anonymous display against the Eagles. He can be a very exciting player player but defensive frailties might leave him very exposed in Australia but for his sake and the Lions let's hope not.

I think even Warren Gatland has forgotten him. You would think there is no chance to get ready for a test now if he hasn't playedJackie Brown wrote:Still no Kearney, why's he there if he's crocked?
Re: B&I Lions 2013 Thread
Perhaps Zeeeeeebo is there for fill wing and FB in the liklihood Kearney won't be playing
I'm sure he's enjoying a great holiday though....

Still getting over his injury, but Sky Sports News say he'll be fit for the Waratahs match next Saturday.Jackie Brown wrote:Still no Kearney, why's he there if he's crocked?
You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.
