We were 4 points down less than 10 minutes ago. Times up for Dan.

Yet again Ulster are mentally weak, stupid penalties giving easy field position to Bath means they hardly have to do anything. Barely had the ball in the 2nd half, ultimately embarrassing again, we are so far away and out of our depth.

Moore, McCloskey, Hume and Henderson at least tried. The rest were an utter embarrassment.

Wonder what positives we can take out of that. It wasn't quite as embarrassing as Sale away last year maybe?

There were a couple of decent individual performances from within the side, but as a whole it wasn't pretty. Bath looked alright as a team, but a couple of years ago I think we'd have been putting that team to the sword.

Kitsoff Stewart and OToole getting shamed in the scrum is of great concern tbh.

Even Herring and Moore couldn’t improve things.

To be fair, thought our starting backline looked quite good, including (dare I say it) Doak. Our replacement half backs both had pretty bad games.

That's the tragic part isn't it. We can't afford it.

For the try they ran in after the kick out on the full. Why was our defensive line 10m behind the scrum? Am I missing something for this to be the case?

In recent years we've been getting into the URC playoffs steady enough and springing the odd great performance in Europe. Every year there are a handful of good results to keep things interesting before kaking our pants leading to ultimate disappointment. This year the hope isn't going to kill us though. There is no doubt things are regressing and there is dead wood in both coaching and playing staff.

Finn Russell post match interview, he could easily play another 80, BB injured, holding his arm (again). Physicality and fitness, worlds apart.

Even more tragic, him jumping ship now is unlikely. Who would have him?
