Matt Williams on Ulster

Post by aarons »

Williams has been becoming increasinly outspoken on Setanta in recent weeks about the poor administration of Ulster Rugby and the decisions being taken at all levels.

So is he a self-serving bigmouth or one of the few people in the media with the inside knowledge and the guts to say what's going wrong?

I'm genuinely curious to know what people think, not trying to :stir:

we certainly won't get this sort of critical analysis on BBC NI next year

Not sure what the story is there but it sounded like Matt was speaking from his gut today and telling it how it is/was.
Video will be online later of his little rant.

How specific has he been (nice if we could get this on video  )
Surely now that he has opened a box of sorts, someone in the Irish media will run with it.

I thought MW lost it at the end when he said the review of Ulster rugby should also include someone outside of Irish rugby... like Clive Woodward... :?

To be fair to Williams, he is being very passionate about Ulster and what needs to be done.
Can't see how the powers that be, being able to effectively paper over the cracks of this particular out burst!

Just watch them lay on the polyfilla if it comes up... had a review, appointed a new CEO, early days yet, confident we have the right organisation in place....

Will take around an hour before it is live so be good chappies and go have your tea, walk the dog and generally do some cleaning up outside for a while and come back after 7:15 tonight.
Ah will have to do another version later then but will proceed with first rant at present
