HENSON BAN A DISGRACE

Post by for dog and ulcer »

If you needed an example of inequality in application of rules this is surely it. I am no fan of this guy but we need to be just and fair. What would he have got had he been English? If he had been essential to the English team? Disgraceful and what brings the blazers into total disrepute in the sport.

Wise up!
The trouble with referees is that they just don't care which side wins - Tom Canterbury.

Given that the committee was made up of SRU and IRFU members, I suspect an English player would have received little sympathy :P

Do I detect that the respondents do not agree with me? Do I detect the usual well argued response from Deadball who has singlehandedly destroyed the official site in my view with his petty and obsessive vendetta against Ballpark? Am I concerned what Deadball thinks? No.

Not sure how to evaluate the other response which implies inbuilt anti English bias which is not an example of egalitarian principles either and reinforces my point about officials bringing the game into disrepute.

I don't regard myself as corrected yet.

Happy Christmas to all our readers.

dog,

don't mind saying that the dude hanson grates my nuts, but my gut feel is that... yes, it's harsh. the application of the law is all over the place at the mo so hard to look at it objectively :?

i do not however buy in to your points re 'quasi immunity' for english players or 'english bias' and your allegations of the 'blazers' bringing the game into disrepute...

that is your opinion i know but an opinion which i don't think has much foundation (which is my opinion)... m'lud

so in summary i agree with you but disagree with you

lordy i need me another cold tin of harp... FATHER!!!

Jamesie

I refer to the history regarding for example Martin Johnson where leniency was always the norm and to the suggestion that the SRU and IRFU panel members would not have been fair to an English player cited. What I am saying is that both scenarios are wrong and would be an indictment of the blazers. Maybe I am really a soul mate of Will Carling who described the game if I remember correctly as run by a bunch of old farts!!

Anyway I am unlikely to be appraised of the inadequacy of my judgements by Deceased Testicles' "Wise Up".

Indeed you are DB and you are more than capable of expressing it in an eloquent well thought out fashion when the manner grips you.

Deadtestes

Do you have an argument, a reasoned point, a thesis or a modest proposal to put forward or is it just Wise Up and Wind your Neck In which I find moronic? If you don't agree, why don't you agree? Explain to me how I am wrong. Adduce some evidence. Back up your stance, whatever it is, as it is not at all clear.

DECEASED TESTICLE

YOU ARE REINFORCING MY POINTS NOT YOURS. DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING WORTHWHILE TO SAY? YOU MAY LIKE TO KNOW THAT I AM 56 AND HAVE MET DOZENS OF TOSSERS LIKE YOU IN MY CAREER. DO YOU HAVE ANY ARGUMENTS OR JUST ABUSE?
