Re: Glentoran FC
How many points are they behind Belfast's Big One now?
I suspect they already need snookers.

Re: Glentoran FC
Went down to the Oval last night for the Glens v Blues County Antrim Shield game...last time i seen these two clash was 17 years ago.
Linfield edged it by 3 goals to 2 but it was a fine game...the Glens played all the football while the Blues had plenty of power and showed their never say die quality...great advert for the game here...I won' wait another 17 years.
Ps...HWM was nowhere to be seen.

I saw him balanced precariously on the walls of Dee Street bridge after the game.browner wrote:Went down to the Oval last night for the Glens v Blues County Antrim Shield game...last time i seen these two clash was 17 years ago.

"Jump, Jump " roared his many fans, but alas He hadn't the balls.
The man from Knocknagoney ended up ritually slaughtering his cockerel instead

I was happily having a few beers in the Dirty Duck last night with a mate from Oz (Western Force Supporter). Anyway twas only the County Antrim Shield. We are still above the Blues in the League and even better news is that for the first time in what seems like years i will get to see us beat the Blues @ Winsdor Pk on Boxing Day as Ulster's Xmas game V Leinster appears to be on fri 21st Dec.

Re: Glentoran FC
Slightly off topic but just thought some of you'd like to know it's the Final of the County Antrim Shield (see previous reference 3 posts above) tonight @ the Oval. Ballymena hoping to beat the Linfield stars and bring home their first silverware in 23 years. Rumour in town today has it that 17 buses heading out of Ballymena at teatime. Kick off 7.45pm. Tickets £10 and available at the turnstiles. I've dug out me Ballymena scarf and plan to be on the grassy knoll by 7.30pm. C'monn the SkyBlues, get stuck into the stars

17 Buses heading out of Ballymena ... all packed to the rafters with people who have no idea about the Co Antrim Shield ... just glad to be getting out of Ballymena.
Always ask yourself, "What would Big Rodney do"... And every time the answer is... "Eat It"
