I think it's time to have the bear put down and get us a new mascot. Something befitting of European champions.
Sorry Sparky

Surely Sparky is a European Brown Bear anyway - so what's yer problem?petey11 wrote:I think it's time to have the bear put down and get us a new mascot. Something befitting of European champions.
Sorry Sparky
He'll simply become a European CHAMPION Brown Bear
I'm not arguing -
I'm just explaining why I'm right

Please no.
Re: Will the Bear be there?
If we're talking about Bryan Young - then having to retire early is probably enough of a blow without the euthenasia. I don't know if he's going to the game, but if he needs a ticket, I'd be honoured if he would take one of mine.
If we're talking about Sparky - the jury is still out on the need for sodium pentobarbital, but I don't believe he could have an official role at this ERC run game. Whether or not he's in the crowd will probably depend on what shots he's had and Lansdowne Road's policy on 'dangerous' animals.

Don't know, he should be there though!
Can't believe what some of you are saying about Sparky , he's a legend and should never be replaced.
Just make sure the fuppin Rockettes are NOWHERE near the Aviva on Sat, that's all!

They were painful to watch on Friday. As for Sparky, I thought he did us proud in his "fight" with the Leinster Lion. Sure he deserves his day out at lansdowne!Wee Woman wrote:Just make sure the fuppin Rockettes are NOWHERE near the Aviva on Sat, that's all!

Aye. Fair play to the bear. He's "rescued" a rackette routine on more than one occassion.
Volunteer at an animal sanctuary; it will fill you with joy , despair, but most of all love, unconditional love of the animals.
