Say what you want about beagle, the man had the heart of a lion and never gave up. How many last minute try's were down to his breaks? Sad to see him go, but events off the pitch must have played a role in his decision, and I will be sad to see him go. :fleg:

All the best Paul, last season hasn't been easy for you. Ulsterman to his core and I'm his biggest critic.

Ulsterman to the core, probably made the most of what talent he had.

Entertaining and capable scrum half. I know he had his detractors here, but there was a time when he was the linchpin in a well functioning, winning side.

Best of luck to the wee man and his family for the future. I will always remember that tap penalty try against Leicester  :red:

An appropriate time to reflect on many years of unwavering loyalty to Ulster, despite always being second fiddle. Hope p has a happy retirement.

A decision of necessity rather than choice. Incredibly difficult personal circumstances for Paul and his family in recent months. Paul Marshall is a man of impeccable standing, you will never meet a better man in a day's walking.
As a player, he never took a backward step or gave less than 100% in the white of Ulster and never wanted to play anywhere else. A bit more composure in the white heat of battle and he could have been a phenomenal player.

Favourite Paul memory is that try against the Tigers. Likely because it was one of my favourite games.

Met him once. Lovely fella.
