I turned on my TV today to discover that Virgin Media Ireland have removed Dave and UK Gold and replaced them with some CBS ballix channels. Livid I was. I may be forced to move on and watch contemporary shows, most of which seem to be crap. Feckers.

For clarity, I haven't watched RTE since the 6Ns when Ireland fluked a Grand Slam.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

Just thought I'd share this as it shows the potential consequences of not moving on.
Garda Padraic Connolly was on patrol in the town when he noticed that Helena Ward from 3 Meadowbrook Park, Ballinasloe was double parked outside Supermac’s.

The Garda spoke to the driver of the vehicle and asked her to move as she was causing an obstruction. The Garda drove around the town and when he came around to Main Street, she was still double parked.
Judge James Faughnan said that he did not have much time for her attitude as he convicted her for the offence in her absence and fined her €500 while also imposing a one year driving disqualification.

“She will move on the next time,” remarked Judge Faughnan.

Imagine if this judge was sent in to tackle the mass refusal to move on going on in Ulster. :D

So you agree I shouldn't have renewed my ST.

I required it for the English games in the soccer world cup.

You do have to remember to turn over at the final whistle if they've lost

The 3rd place playoff coverage was amongst the most bizarre television I've seen since the death of Spike Milligan.

Have you ever seen an RTE re-make of a popular gameshow? It’s like something filmed in a school hall in the early noughties.
:D I like it. Yer fairly on the ball there. They usually just try to copy English TV and do it very badly. That being said yer knowledge of it suggests that you are one of their viewers.....I'd suggest you should move on to the next available channel but Dave would probably call me out!
It's their own fault.
I pitched the games show idea "Tag the Taig" to them in which various contestants had to determine which participant kicked with the left foot through a series of questions and activities to be presented by Damien Duff.
Apparently it was 'Sectarian' so I suggested as a compromise "Prod the Prod" could be run alternative weeks.
They didn't want to know still but CH5 are looking to commission it in the Autumn.
Their loss.

RTE's comedy and sitcoms aren't bad.
