Lowry for me, touch and go with Addison but I'll give it to him based on the fact he's a nipper and that was a 1st start.

We have a player!

Watching him going into the tackle I felt like I was watching my own son play, heart in mouth stuff, thinking this wee lad is not surviving this one. He's a hardy wee bugger.

Cooney, Addison or Lowry in the backs. Forwards: Hendo, Jordi, Timoney, Marcell.

Went for Hendo, forward battle and he did well.

Cooney - I didn't see the match, but I suspect he is the one player without whom they would have lost that match by the biggest margin.

Addison, Lowry or Timoney. Lowry has the lowest centre of gravity I've seen in ages. Especially impressed as he was obviously targeted and fluffed his first take, then recovered mightily. Probably should've had Stockdale in for one but at least he has the confidence to go for it.
O'Connor probably had his best game too. As did Billy.

Timoney made a carry off a defensive 5m scrum, made about 10m and relieved so much pressure. That was a big game play, the sort of play that wins games. Very impressive.

I thought Billy was still shuffling the ball on too much, never looks like he is an option. Unlike Paddy Jackson, rarely gets someone to run back againest the grain to keep the defence guessing and the opp just rush up on him, knowing they don't need to worry about leaving any gaps. Years gone by Bowe or Trimble would be charging through those gaps off his inside shoulder and making linebreaks.

Billy — his kicking from hand left much to be desired - he be ver found space - kicked to long - Leicester back 3 never under pressure from his kicking game .

MotM Lowry not that he was the clear star of the show — given his inexperience at this level and the pressure he was under — if he had had a bad game - the result might have been different

Timoney of course, none of Jackson, Olding or Cave playing so Timoney the obvious choice. I still struggle to understand why more people are not excited about him as a player.

In fairness to the others, several played very well, not many played badly & even wee Shanners did rightly when he came on.
