Started for Banbridge on the weekend, also available were Marcus Rea, and Joe Dunleavy. Supposedly Matthew Rea travelled with the team last week so should be fit.
Doesn’t send a good message to the young players coming through but I can understand the decision

Who else would be an option? Clive Ross on the bench.
I think that's the problem. Limited options have led to this. On the plus side he is a decent option at the tail of the lineout.

Possibly Caleb Montgomery could have featured or Dalton has played 6 for the u20s.

Dalton was absolutely shocking at 6 for the u20s.

Subs: T Baravalle, C Traore, S Ferrari, M Fuser, G Pettinelli, M Barbini, E Gori, I Brex.

Ioane on the wing for them is a tricky customer.
How close is this to a Benetton first xv?

Got 8 back from the Italian camp. Without 17 players through Injury/International call ups.

Got 8 back from the Italian camp. Another 11 not released.
Just 7 from the XV that started the 39-7 hammering of Grenoble away from home in the Parker Pen last week.

I'd have to disagree, thought he looked completely out of place, with none of the dynamism to play the role. I remain highly sceptical whether he's going to make it as a regular.

It's about half a side each then - hopefully home advantage will be the key.

As Big Mervyn said 7 of the starting XV from last week survive, 15 of last week's Match Day 23 involved tomorrow.

So we really ought to be able to do the business. Let's hope so.

Ulster are 11 points favourites with the bookies on the even money bet.
