Glasgow Vs Ulster Fri 5th April @ 7.35pm Premier Sports

Potentially six games remaining, with a two week rest after the Edinburgh game I'd throw full strength teams at both fixtures.

Thoughts?

Play as we did on Saturday and we'll beat both Scottish sides.

Agreed. A lot of these players had a rest over the 6N. We should keep this going and hold onto second place. That's a home quarter final.

Quite right. None of this nonsense about sending a weaker team to Glasgow and save ourselves for the Embra game. All guns blazing for all games for the rest of the season.

Lowry, Baloucoune, Marshall, McCloskey, Stockdale

Burns Cooney

EOS, Herring, Moore, Tredders, Hendy, Timoney, Murphy, Coetzee

Bench; Andrew, Warwick, Herbst, AOC, Reidy, Shanahan, Lyttle, Nelson

I dropped Cave because I believe he is playing with an injury. Hard to drop any of them, need to be all guns blazing this week and no changes for changes sake, we're building a very cohesive unit.

I read Glasgow lost Scott Cummings and Tim Swinson yesterday. That could leave them light in the second row.

The following were listed unavailable for their match against Saracens on Sat past. Bruce Flockhart (back), Nick Grigg (ankle), Huw Jones (knee), Lee Jones (knee) Kiran McDonald (back), D’Arcy Rae (ankle), Tommy Seymour (ribs), Matt Smith (shoulder), George Turner (head), DTH van der Merwe (shoulder) and Ryan Wilson (knee).

That's quite a few out.

I'd rule Best out for ourselves, most likely Cave also. Wonder will any on our injury list be back for this one. Would be great to get Addison going again.

Addison had surgery on his back last week - I doubt we’ll be seeing him any time soon..

Can sense a growing confidence in the suppport but more importantly Saturdays game should instil a belief amongst the team. I forecast that Jacob will devastate Glasgow on Saturday and with both hands, a hard lesson learnt. No criticism intended, as I agree with Dan 100%

While I know the guys simply won't be able to get themselves up for every game like Saturday - they know where the standard can be raised to for big games now.

Glasgow will be sore after a trouncing - but probably a bit demoralised given the margin. Our guys should be sore and burning inside from knowing they were good enough to beat the champs and for various (not singular!) reasons let it get away.

Edinburgh are in a more similar position to ourselves mentally - but they'll hopefully burn off their anger this weekend in good time for us to get them in a couple of weeks.

I reckon Dan may have a few calls to make this week as some of the guys may be physically and mentally exhausted after Saturday. They gave it their all and whilst i am sure they will be up for the game, it is difficult to keep that motivation going at such a level no matter hiw hard you try. We had guys who were desperate to prove a point against their home province and ithers whi wanted to show the ireland coach a thing or to. Add to that interpro rivalry and being the underdogs then motivation was everywhere and people were able to squaaze out those last energy reserves.

Make no mistake, Glasgow will be hurting after the tanking they took and desperate to put in a big performance at home. Having tired bodies against them could spell real danger given the way they can cut loose from anywhere.

It will be one of the toughest away games of the season and i would take a point, as i see this as the hardest of the 3 remaining games. Am confident we can beat Leinster at home.

There will be a few sore bodies this week. Cave, EOS, Marcell, Cooney and obviously Rory all looked to have taken knocks or pulled up at some point.

Any player needing a week off through anything other than injury has no place in the Ulster squad or any other pro team. They'll get a rest after Edinburgh.
This is the business end of the season and we need a couple of wins so the best available team should be selected.

They just had a rest. Otherwise known as the 6 Nations.
