Saracens fined 50,000 Euro but remain in the Champions Cup.
The outcome avoids any problems associated with arrangements already made for the knock out stages .

Depends what the rules say.
The case cited above was was during the HEC era, so it's not really precedent.

Re: Heineken Cup seeding.
i would rather watch our match in a pub in Toulouse than accept any more sh*te from any club that pretends to have altruistic values. I feel the same in Turnipland when the choir sings 'Stand up and Fight' and at Kingspan at any point when the band plays. I think the Great Bard had it right 'Something is rotten in the State of Denmark'.
Saracens list values that they don't adhere to, I for one will not miss them

Looks like Racing are not holding back about Sarries but realise that there's nothing more they can do

My french isn't perfect , but think the gyst of this is that all gatherings of more than 5000 people have been banned in France until further notice. Suspect it means Irelands game against France will be postponed and though i haven't heard of any cases in the south west if the country out QF could be cancelled too.
Unless they're made to travel to Belfast....

Did todays Top14 go on behind closed doors?MightyRearranger wrote: ↑Sat Feb 29, 2020 4:51 pm

Re: Heineken Cup seeding.
I think all the Top 14 and Ligue 1 fixtures went ahead as usual at the weekend in France. I think the statement said gatherings would be banned in enclosed spaces, which I'd assumed would include open air stadiums, but it seems that it doesn't. That said the number of cases there has started to accelerate and one of the major hot-spots is just outside Paris so I'd still be fairly surprised if the game went ahead. If France beat Scotland this week I wonder if the country being on the cusp of their first Grand Slam (or title) in a decade might influence the decision though...
