That’s a marketing opportunity, surely? Tena might be very interested in reaching out to younger incontinents.rumncoke wrote:It will be interesting to see if Guinness cease to be sponsors of Leinster after one of their players p-ssed on someone at an end of season club binge .

Good point, though the emphasis was on the missing 'e' and I do believe either spelling can suffice (though 'whiskies' might be preferable).Cap'n Grumpy wrote:Try spelling it whiskies thenstev1eG wrote:... a bunch of other Scotch whiskys (hate that spelling!) ...

Errmmmm! I was trying to be subtle, without explicitly pointing out that I prefer Irish whiskey (with an 'e') as opposed to Scotch and/or Japanese (though I do like a number of Japanese *whiskies/whiskys).Cap'n Grumpy wrote:Close but no cigarstev1eG wrote:Good point, though the emphasis was on the missing 'e' and I do believe either spelling can suffice (though 'whiskies' might be preferable).Cap'n Grumpy wrote:Try spelling it whiskies thenstev1eG wrote:... a bunch of other Scotch whiskys (hate that spelling!) ...

Whiskies isn't preferable - that's the plural of Scotch (and Japanese etc).
Whiskeys is preferable - that's the plural of Irish (and USA - Bourbon etc)
So in summary, whiskies or whiskeys but not whiskys
