Dragons vs ULSTER MOTM
Well, A good game I thought, both sides played well, and a coupleof oppurtunistic tries made a difference to the game.
Wee Lowry got the offical MoTM.
But,

Hard choice between Stu and Mikey, with honourable mentions for Stockcube, Moore, Timoney, and McIlroy when he came on.
Can i give half a vote to each of Stu and Mikey?
Or do I log in with another moniker and give one vote each?

Re: Dragons vs ULSTER MOTM
Hard to say that there was any really stand out player fo Ulster. Wee Mickey did a very good job at out half but he made several mistakes. Nick Timoney gave another full on performance but again a few mistakes. Big Stu put in a real grafting performance but on balance I think Stewart Moore deserves the accolade - worked hard and took his chances well.
Hope is not a strategy.

I thought young Lowry did very well especially having played so little at 10 recently.

That's why I voted for him, helped in no small measure by big Stu on his shoulder. The physical threat from Roberts negated.solidarity wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 11:24 pm I thought young Lowry did very well especially having played so little at 10 recently.

I think you'll find Lowry was more than comfortable enough taking Roberts down himself. If anything the help came from the back row, which was very good. McCann seems a good find especially in tight carries. I'd like to see 6. McCann 7. Timoney 8. Nakarawa next yearbig mervyn wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 10:10 amThat's why I voted for him, helped in no small measure by big Stu on his shoulder. Offload aside Stu was poor and has been phoning it in for a while. We should be looking at Moore/Hume for a while until Stu gets himself sorted

How exactly was McCloskey poor??UlsterAreBrill wrote:I think you'll find Lowry was more than comfortable enough taking Roberts down himself. I get he's not everyone's cup of tea but he still gets gainline advantage. 31m for 6 carries. 9 passes, so can't be accused of not passing. 3 offloads. 14 tackles and no turnovers conceded. He was an absolute menace at every ruck, slowed down an awful lot of ball.
Are there some mistakes I'm missing? We will see if big Dan agrees. Hume/Moore look great options

Re: Dragons vs ULSTER MOTM
Any chance of Stu becoming a 6 or 7? He seems to love getting stuck in. I know, too late now but, ah well.
