I know it wasn't going to happen but I'm still amazed that there's no place for Cooney. Can't wait to read his autobiography in a few years time.
Re: Autumn International squad
Stockdale's performances in the past 2.5 years don't deserve a place in the squad. He may claim he's a better player and think he should have been in Lions contention but that has not been shown on the pitch unfortunately.jean valjean wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 6:41 pm No stockdale, burns or doak (training squad). Burns will never be an international standard 10 and is a weak link at ulster who has reached his ceiling. Too early for Doak.
Cooney injured but would not have got picked anyway which is ridiculous.
Re: Autumn International squad
James Lowe? WTF? Farrell is some kinda secret agent now working for the English or Welsh. Has to be.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?
Re: Autumn International squad
Addison would have been ahead of Lowe, Larmour and Conway.
Stockdale's gripe could be that he us no worse than the ones above but Larmour better offensively and Conway better defensively.
Pleased to see Frawley in there.

Re: Autumn International squad
I couldn’t pick a 22 from that squad in which I’d be confident in holding off the All Blacks.
Re: Autumn International squad
Just listened to The Left Wing podcast and lengthy discussion on Irelands problem position……outhalf.
Amazed but not surprised that there was absolutely no mention of the elephant in the room who plays at London Irish.
So much for their punditry and knowledge of the game.

Speaking truth to power and stuff the consequences doesn't really apply anymore.

The left wing podcast still has its tail between its legs after Franco’s comments about Marcus Smith. Trying to be squeaky clean.Snipe Watson wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 2:27 pmThe fear of a mean tweet is a powerful deterrentjean valjean wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 12:07 pmFear of a backlash and career nosedive. Is it still Luke Fitz? Don’t think he knows the name of any players outside of Leinster bar Murr and Zeebs.
Re: Autumn International squad
Yeah - listened to it a couple of weeks ago when JB was on (which presumably accounted for the mysterious absence of the BT podcast).Bart S wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 12:27 amThe left wing podcast still has its tail between its legs after Franco’s comments about Marcus Smith. He’s still as clueless as ever.
