Glad to see few Ulster players get a medal. Stuart deserves one. Hopefully he's on the plane to France.

You'll need to explain the t shirt to the youngsters, Merv.

Sadly I feel he won't. Aki a card waiting to happen all day long, but they won't learn. Such a more deft, intelligent player. Expect a limited Ulster contingent at te RWC, even IF we do finish second in URC!
Hendo if fit, Herring, TOT, maybe Treadwell, but thats it. Anyone else will be due to injury or suspension, and none listed are first choice. :red:

Hendy was ireland's 4th best lock in the tournament. He's not a patch on Tadgh Beirne and Baird offers far more impact off the bench.

Quite conceivable no ulster players in the main 23 come rwc time. Henshaw-Ringrose midfield.

Time for an NI team?

Callum Reid
Stewart
Kane
Hendy
Sheridan
McCann
Marcus Rea
Timoney (qualifies through his grandfather)
Doak
Jackson
Stockdale
McCloskey
Hume
Baloucoune
Lowry

*AOC and others would be eligible through residency.

**Propping would be an issue

***With loyalists now eligible to be fans, it would pay for itself.

Henderson had a very good cameo vs Scotland and off the bench be France/Wales.

Poor enough vs Italy.

Dave - Like what you’ve done with the flyhalf

Without irfu mitts all over things, it would be a no brainer. A wonderful ginger axis half back pairing.

Rob also qualifies through his granda but maybe you've got him at 16?: "Herring qualifies for Ireland through his grandfather on his mother's side, who hailed from Belfast."

For the record I wouldn't support a loyalist NI side. Same way I wouldn't support a republican ROI Sinn Fein side either.

Keep politics off this thread, please.

On the anthems, Treaders didn't sing Amhrán na bhFiann. Maybe out of respect for the Nordies but his Wexford born ma might have been disappointed.

Rob, being a truer son of Ulster, also didn't and TOT went for a half arsed ventriloquist version
