It doesn't matter if we are brill or not. Do we identify as being brill?
According to the poll the majority do not think we are brill. Therefore we identify as not brill. At least no-one's willy needs to be chopped off.
Are you sure? Sounds like the sort of thing that would discourage complacency.

If ulster doesn't now reach the final then we are most definitely not brill.

3 home games and none of them against Leinster. There can be no excuses.
That is the type of expectation that might depress people.

Ok but pronouns need adjusting just like expectations.

Interesting read in tonight BT ref Dan's "relationship" with the squad, including anonymous inside squad and ex player comments.

It's a serialisation of the Fanning Irish Independent article discussed elsewhere on the board. There may or may not be a grain of truth to it, but I'll hold judgement until a 'journalist' who doesn't seem to take such schadenfreude at any Ulster based misfortune writes about it.

I don't read the Indo, so no wonder I missed it. I suspect there's some underlying grain of truth however, no doubt distorted

That's two editors giving the green light to publish the article, potentially believing the sources to be credible. Discuss.....

I think many of us on here suspected, without hard evidence, that all was not roses at the time of the slump. I still have no confidence we have truly got over our mental fragility. 3 games, potentially 4, will tell the tale ..

You're surely not suggesting the Indo has any sort of editorial standards? I doubt they've had a journalist in their offices since Veronica Guerin.

It's always been a rag, despite the occasional quality journalist like Guerin. But then most Irish papers are, North to South. The IT is unreadably woke...

I've no idea I don't read it or BT rag but I thought I would see what others thought. Rumours to the effect have in circulation for some time.

Team gies through a dreadful slump - unrest in the camp. Any journo could write that about a team and pretty much be bang on the money.

If leinster fail (again) to win the ERC despite having the no.1 ranked team in the world at its disposal and a very favourable path with only home frames, then questions will arise about Leo Cullen. But of course the Indo and Fanning wouldn't dare rock that boat if it occurred .

An easy target like ulster though. ..
