And for those who can’t be bothered to open the BBC link, the Chief Exec of the SRU (who’s done all the hard work) is leaving in the summer.

I would suggest there’s a fairly high chance of JP replacing him.

Why on earth is this even still an issue??? We haven't had too many sellouts so we haven't really missed out but this is one where we will. Maybe being cynical but is this another Petrie special? Why haven't they been badgering the council to get this restriction binned? Are there still restrictions at Thomond? RDS (small terrace section)? Celtic Park? No. Everyone else has long been back to normal so what makes Belfast so special? Would have been nice to have one of those nights where you were crammed into the place.

BCC are the issue. Bigoted tw#ts running it. SF/ DUp carve up. Look at SOLAS grant scandal and their pet projects for their level of thinking. No doubt If it was Casement.....

I can't imagine this is a political decision. More likely some hangover covid bylaw which no-one at UR has remembered or felt the need to challenge since we haven't been close to a sell out for years.

Would they touch him? I doubt it. I’m sure Ulster will give him an excellent reference.

They sent him over here to broaden his horizons so, yes, I think they would.

Terrace was absolutely rammed last night. Felt like a true sell out from where I was standing

There’s an argument to say that the Council are hiding behind COVID as an excuse for the fact that the terraces were previously unsafe with another 1500 people on them.

It was as full as you’d want it be and, through some planning ahead, it was handy that I didn’t need to visit the bog or the bar during the match.

Yeah. The terrace isn't pleasant when it's at capacity. I'm more than happy to take a dump on BCC, but this time they're right. I've heard UR are looking at filling in the corners.

The problem is eventsec close off access to the middle third of the terrace and force people to the end too early. 5-6m off the walkway there is plenty of room but because people want easy access to the toilet/ bar it looks like the whole section is full.

Merit in what you say, but UR/ Eventsec have been getting this fill pattern wrong for years.
