Decent LBP, could have won but given where the team is at, it is a step forward.

3 home games and a trip to Scaaaaaaaarlets, play-off spot is achievable IF they take care of business.

Harry Sheridan has been impressive this past two games. Got a good round game and a very dependable player. Reminds me of Roger Wilson. Perhaps if he was slightly taller then Irish caps awaits.

McCann and Wilson are also impressive. Got a bit of dog in them.

So much territory and possession in that first half but some really key passes grassed.

First time John has missed two kicks in a game since 21/22 if I’m not mistaken.

It was probably better but Stormers could have run riot in the second period had they used their top two inches on occasion.

Some shoring up needed as neither McIroy or Lowry are the answer.
Maybe Kok could be a good signing after all!!

Undoubtedly.

Shame he won’t be much use in the lineout though.

Cam someone explain the penalty for tackling in the air from the Stewart over throw? Was the stormers player legally able to go for the ball? They weren't in the lineout and weren't back 10 so the only thing could be if they were the nominated scrum half (which I doubt).
Surely the lineout was formed therefore it was no longer possible to take a quick throw.

Very odd but very entertaining game. Ulster were much better. Some very decent passing. The lack of a decent clearance kicker is still an issue. We really struggle to exit our half. Doak was a bit of a parsons egg at 10 - good in parts. Some costly brainfarts too though. That cross field kick towards the end wasted a decent attacking platform and ultimately gave them access to win the game.

Brilliant performance. Well earned LBP, a win was on the table tbf but just not there yet in terms of closing out games. But still, lots of positives to be had.

Thought Timoney was brilliant at 8, cleaned up a lot of tom kite ball. Pack in general were very good. Doak played well.

I agree with most of this. We soaked up a lot of pressure in the second half and were probably lucky to get away with a LBP.

Lots of positives - especially our young forwards stepping up to the mark against a very strong Stormers team. I thought Sheridan and McCann were excellent and Scott Wilson did well when he came on.

Lots to work on - and fair bit of local talent to work with. Murphy looks as if he is doing a good job - even Baloucoune looked up for the fight in the first half.

Of only world rugby would reduce playing time to 70 minutes we would be world class!

Can we save ourselves some serious cash and leave SK in Cape Town?

A front row is only as good as the weakest link. No point SK being dominant if the other side is retreating or popping up every other scrum. In that regard he is not worth the return on the investment as opposed to a good 8,9,10 who can make things happen on their own.

Whilst a LBP was, rightly or wrongly, all that was mostly hoped for, those kind of preconceptions should be let go of when the whistle blows.

Stormers were loose, erratic and there for the taking.

Whilst we looked better in attack at times in the first 40, we messed up the key moments and that cost us.

We didn’t score for 70 minutes, lost 5 lineouts of 11, missed around 1 in 4/1 in 5 tackles (depending on which stats you read) and gave up 11 pens to their 5.

Despite being pinned in our own half for the second half, unable to exit, we left a 9 and 10 on the bench, one of whom we think will have to play a big role next season.

Stormers’ profligacy in the second period was at least partly due to some dogged and spirited (and often scramble) defence on our part and it was an entertaining game of rugby.

Had our basics been better, we would have left with more than a point.
