Good thing, no harm to him - couple of hundred k right there off the cost budget for next year, that doesn’t have to come out of the player cost budget..
..one more thing

Is Bryn going with him? Or will he be promoted to CEO?

Or Scottish rowing, or Scottish hockey, or ............?? Any bloody where, who cares.
Frozen pitch in rowing a bit of a bummer though!

In the words of the Bay City Rollers..Bye Bye Baybee >seeya

2 outta 3 ain't bad...

So one more to go- agree Bryn has been Teflon, but also needs the door.

The Petrie announcement has an air of sudden finality rather than an agreed exit to a new job. And rightly, given the pish around pitchgate and the lack of proactivity given the parlous state of UR on the last 2 years of his watch. etc..

Batten down the hatches, it's gonna get Stormy, and not Daniels..

As well as rowing and hockey, I see they’re looking for someone to run the surfing too. A few fact finding trips to Hawaii for that one no doubt.

Anyway, I can confirm he’s actually landed the head honcho gig at the Scottish Meteorological Society.

‘The IRFU and Ulster Rugby today confirm the departure of Jonny Petrie as CEO by mutual agreement.
Kevin Potts, CEO of the IRFU, says:

“The IRFU and Ulster Rugby thank Jonny for the five years spent with Ulster Rugby and wish him well, both personally and professionally, for the future.”

An interim CEO will be appointed in due course while a recruitment process is undertaken.’

That’s a pretty curt press release/announcement. Says a lot without saying much.
