Not a quiz Rooster. A question.

I was reading the article by the Archipelago when the question came to mind.

If BJ starts (as I think most expect him to) then only one from the rest can be in any match 22 in either competition.

What about that Kolpak jobby does it come into play or potentially some of the others have a European passport.
Then you could possibly add Filo :afro: if he is a full squad member as Mr Ed thinks :?

What that means is workers from South Africa, Tonga, Fiji and Samoa don't count as foreigners because European countries have works rights agreements.
That would leave just Clint as foreign

It is a long time since Kolpak (2003) yet the two competition bodies still (today) use the wordings below.
Magners
5.3 A maximum of two Non-European Players are permitted in a Team’s match squad.

ERC
2 (v) each club is permitted a maximum of two “foreign” players in any one match squad.
How are the competition rules applied in practice?

Does “Non-European” and “foreign” allow Kolpak players by considering them as European and consequently non-foreign or do they adopt a strict interpretation and await a possible challenge by a club or player?
