Re: Contract Situation
Neil McMillan was a cracker 7, sadly his knees were held together by poppadums, David Pollock had the potential to be a world beater, and Willie Falloon was underrated imo

Re: Contract Situation
TBH If i was Hendy I'd be looking for something new. When your best mate is loving life in France, and your kids are young enough to move, now is the time. I wouldn't blame him at all for moving on. Its a short career.

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!
SO 2 folks have been bandied about re: Marcel's replacement. Fez mentioned Bill Mata in dispatches, while another is a Brumbie backrower with decent pedigree. anyone heard anything, or will we just get another Campbell Feather for our sins.

Re: Return of Supporters
True. There will be many former ST holders who, having got out of the habit of going, just won't start again. Might have been better trying to find a way to keep more of those on board, rather than appealing to several hundred diehards who probably would have returned anyway. My son an i are in tha...

Re: Professional rugby
nonplus--- the club game is substandard compared to the professional -- too little talent spread too thin -- and thus players become less fit and less skilled and the International team becomes weaker---- the skills of course are not to the level of the pro game but are much better than some would ...

Re: Ulster in Financial Trouble
GAA is an amateur sport, where crowds can assemble as long as SD and other protocols are adhered too. I've attended 2 rugby matches in the last 5 days where there was over 200 people at each. Outdoor bar service was also available. This is where the short term of live sport involvement lies... go su...

Re: Professional rugby
The pro game is on the verge of becoming a busted flush, but the CVC type package may save it, and at the same time morph clubs into sustainable franchises, Ulster are not a top table side and may suffer as a result. that said the top end of the sport is a business and anyone that thinks otherwise i...

Jack Regan started for Otago in the Mitre 10 at the weekend, it'll be interesting to see how he develops down there. Maybe they've seen something our academy didnt!
