Re: Team for Dragoons

I’ve taken a new role with the RSPB and will ensure that we fight for every finch. Will you come and fight for my goldfinches. In the last few months their numbers have dropped from 40-50 to 6-15 at a time. Where have they all gone? I don't think the beastly sparrowhawks managed to eat their way th...

Re: Team for Dragoons

It’s the Dragons minus their internationals. If we can’t secure an impressive bonus point win against that lot then we really are doomed. It will be interesting to see how we play though. I’m struggling to understand how McFarland stopped the players from catching the ball, tackling the opposition,...

Re: Dragons Pre Match Q&A with Jonny Petrie

We'll win nothing with Burns. He is a symptom of our mediocrity. Turnips are welcome to him. And we'll win nothing with Flannery either. Coming up on 26 and hasn't made an impression at either Ulster or Munster, he's as much a symptom of our mediocrity. Flannery and Burns would be acceptable as 3rd...

Re: And today, joining the underground .....

Sad news. Old school defender and not the worst manager in the world. Spent a hell of a lot on minutes on the football field which seemingly didn't do him any good in the end. Yep. Ex professiobal footballers do not seem to have a particularly long lifespan. Even worse I fear for the current profes...

Re: And today, joining the underground .....

And today, joining the celestial football team, Chris Nicholl has signed to play at centre half. English-born, but gave his all for Norn Iron. :salut: Part of Espagne 1982, where he played with his cousin, the Norn Iron-born Jimmy. Possibly the only professional player to score 4 goals . . ...

Today, it's Stanley Bowles:

One of my favourite players in my youth. Loved watching him play for QPR - the nearest anyone could get to George Best for skill and attitude (but still some way short - but then, weren't they all?) :salut:

Re: Dragons Pre Match Q&A with Jonny Petrie

Who at Ulster Rugby was at fault for the debacle v LaRochelle? Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk And does he think fans are stupid enough to believe the monetary loss of one fixture has left Ulster in complete financial ruin. Ferris said on the Viaplay URC podcast the other day that apparently th...

Re: Dan’s Not the Man.

Whoever comes in I just hope they have a pair and are prepared to do what is necessary to move the club forward. Too many fringe players, hangers on who play a blinder for a few matches when contract is due then slip back into mediocrity afterwards. Says it all when Gilroy stated the othernight tha...

Will someone remind me of this if/when it comes to season ticket renewal time?

I succumbed with 10 minutes to go before the loyalty price ended for this season - please don't let me do it again. :banghead:

Re: And today, joining the underground .....

Very sad and shocked by Steve's death - unaturally so. My wife is severely shocked by it. We met him once - at a Radio 1 Road Show at Carrick, probaby about 1978 give or take a year. - He was very personable, and made you feel like a friend. Maybe that's why the missus is so upset - that he did that...

Ospreys v Ulster, Round 10 of the BKT United Rugby Championship, Sunday 18 February, 3pm, Swansea.com Stadium (live on ViaPlay and URC.tv). With the URC celebrating the people and communities behind the professional players competing in the league through its Origin Round this week, Ulster Rugby re...
