John Dawes - former Welsh captain and coach - RIP. Dawes was synonymous with Welsh rugby in the days when I was first interested and learning about rugby, so much so that I initially thought that rugby was the prime sport in Wales and that Wales were the dominant team in British and Irish rugby. Knees up jumping at an opponent at least a yellow. It's almost impossible to jump without bringing the knees up. The one I object to is the catcher putting one leg out with studs showing to discourage opponents coming near them as they land on t'other leg. No more pre binding or latching Tis alread...

Trial laws in the Rainbow Cup - red card replacements after 20 minutes and captain appeals against ref decisions among other things.
