Re: URC: Ulster Rugby v Edinburgh Rugby Sat 2nd Dec 17:15

Hoping to see an improved showing from Addison tonight. It's obvious Dan is trying to get him game time and hopefully that turn of pace / timing will return with a body of training and games under his belt. I think he showed in small flashes what he used to have. A bit of the curate's egg performan...

I plan to save the thermals for a colder day. I plan to in shorts as usual, et sans chaussettes . . I was going to follow your example ... but then I got cold feet Don't let the door slam behind ya as yer leaving Merv. But, amazingly, perhaps, I was quite comfortable last night and no cold feet. I ...

In your case?

5 minutes after you stop post-match drinking from the previous game.

Wot about Greg's back?

I thought it was his shoulder was the problem?

Has it moved to his back now?

Re: Glasgow v Ulster

Gonna have to watch the game back but from where I was freezing to death, it was quite a challenging evening. That’s save the first 15 minutes which was the most surreal passage of one-way traffic I think I’ve ever seen. Around the time the single malt wore off, or was it when Addison got done for ...

Re: Glasgow v Ulster

I thought our 6 and 8 were very good, as were the centres who tackled well all night. As has been said above Burns was badly missed. It seems in every match we have players who either catch the ball or carry it trying to make a line break then get isolated because our players are not backing up in ...

Thankfully they have no party to vote for. " However... Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald said she has no confidence in Commissioner Harris or Justice Minister Helen McEntee. She said the "cold, hard truth" was that police "lost control of the centre of our capital city". ...

Re: Glasgow v Ulster

I've been very concerned about the mentality of this squad for some time. When we start well all it takes is one moment to go against us and we never seem to gain the upper hand again. Same happened again tonight, we hardly fired a shot after they scored their first try and spent the whole time def...

Re: Glasgow v Ulster

Shanahan looked very good again after coming on. Whisper it quietly, but on this form might he be pushing his way up the pecking order? Think we lost a bit of shape in attack with the Burns injury, pleasantly surprised with how our back row has got on, all three of the lads have put in a shift to b...

Re: Glasgow v Ulster

Turning point was Weegies 3rd try to take the lead. Nevr gonna relinquish it from that point. And what was particularly galling about it was it came from a penalty when Jacob got isolated and Addison went off is feet, BUT both chasers for Glasgow were clearly ahead of the kicker - should have been a...

Re: Ulster v Lions

Bobby still pulling up short and not engaging in garryowens. Frustrating. My view is that he has learnt when to compete and when to wait for his opponent to land and then tackle him. He does challenge for the ball if he's up quickly enough to do so, but if he sees he can't challenge in the air, he'...
