Flags for Saturday.
Ulster Rugby providing 6000 flags for Saturday. "The white Ulster flags will be left on seats in the lower tier and the premium level tier of the Aviva pre-match. Make sure you get to your seat early to guarantee a flag. Flags may also be picked up from the ticket office at Ravenhill from 2pm o...

And Pedrie is a South African who bleeds Ulster! Check out the recent upload to the video thread!
What a guy!
I say we should refuse to leave the Aviva until Dublin agree to let us keep him!

Pedrie - What a guy!
Do you think Dublin would let him stay if we refuse to leave the Aviva after the game on Saturday?
The biggest sit-in protest in the history of Irish sport!

Re: Developing Squad Depth
Its been said that young players need more game time, preferably alongside or against more experienced players. A young prop will only learn so much by playing against other young props. How about if each of the provinces played a development side in AIL 1. This would give the younger players a matc...

Re: The wish-list thread
Priority has got to be a direct like for like replacement for Pedrie. Henry is becoming a first rate no 7 with Ali Birch as cover (ie. no weaker than this season). What we've been missing this year when Stevie wasn't available was a bit of grunt in the back row. Pedrie, for all his obvious strengths...

I'd buy one, especially if it had a nice UAFC/URSC/Ulster logo on the handle.

Re: Paddy X 2
"Chris Henry and then Wallace were lost to injury and illness"!?!?!?!?!?
Just read the above on the official Ulster website report on the game.
Could this be interpretted as Paddy had a bit of a bug before the game and didn't last as well as we'd hoped, so we subbed him?

Re: A Big Thank You
Met 2 Dubliners in the chippie after the game last night. Congratulated them on the win.
Turned out they:
1. Live here.
2. Are Soccer nuts.
3. Didn't even know there was a match on!
Nice blokes though!

That the propping debate settled! Deccie & Tom to start with Paddy & Adam on the bench. When Afoa's back its a toss-up between whether you want a scrummager on the bench or someone who has a better all round game.
I'm so much happier than I was this time yesterday!

Re: Ulster v Leinster - Positives and Negatives
Porter was excellent last night. No messing around, just got the ball away from the contact area nice and quickly and the passes were sharp & accurate too. First time I've really noticed him but I was pleasantly surprised. Very Ruan-esque. :) PJ - What can I say. Absolutely no good reason not to...

Ulster by 5 points in a scrappy high scoring game with neither team wanting to risk getting hurt at this stage in the season.

Re: Back to Bread & Butter - Connacht Match
Yes colwyn, but compare the back rows from this year to next year. We're losing Pedrie and gaining Wilson. Loss IMO. We're losing Faloon and bringing up Birch. Again, loss IMO, although on form, not a big one. So unless we bring in a big NIQ back rower, we're losing firepower in our backrow. I agre...

When Dave announces a new big name flanker next week to replace 3P we'll be stronger in this department next year than this.
Remember the "Nay sayers" when we lost Rush and had to make do with a "drug-addled has-been" called Wannenburg.
Believe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: 'Job done' by Leinster
Regardless of what stage of the season we were at does anyone honestly believe that currently we are capable of beating Leinster, Edinburgh & Munster (away) on consecutive weeks? That's what we'll have to do to compete on both fronts! Content yourselves with a HEC Final and stop being so greedy!...

Re: Back to Bread & Butter - Connacht Match
Might have been a bit unfair to throw Paddy J in at 10 for this game with so few experienced players around him. I think its fair enough to start him at 12. I'm sure he'll end up at 10 before the match is finished.
