If I'm right - and correct me if I'm not - Caldwell was the last Ulster player to get cited and banned (2007). I thought he showed real improvement in his cameos at the start of this season, but looked back to his worst against Munster. Clearly needs a "handler" - Muller or Botha.

As far as I can recall, Pienaar basically won our home game against Glasgow for us - the first that he played in. Scored all our points, including a solo try. So he's given us at least four league points. I thought we saw the best and worst of Marshall against Munster - very zippy pass, lots of hust...

Maybe losing players to Ulster is the measure of whether your SA rugby team has really made it. If Ulster haven't come knocking, you're nowhere, and the Cheetahs want to be on the same plane as the Sharks and Bulls?
