Re: Cables

Very sad news. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting him, but Cables's posts were authoritative, reasoned, articulate and a joy to read. There will be a gap in this community for a long time.

Sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Re: A plea - Ulster attire in London?

Amazing how things work out.... Anyway, because I've to travel straight from Liverpool to London tonight, I won't get home t...

Re: Come gather round people....

Who cares what an Antrim GAA man says? I wouldn't be a follower of GAA, although i have watched a few games in my time. I'm an Antrim man and I'm embarrassed of my County Team. I wouldn't even call it a County team more an amateur backwater... i've always thought it a crying shame that belfast does...

Re: BBC sports news this morning ....

to be fair the Heineken Cup doesn't get much coverage even when English teams are in it. Sports news coverage is heavily influence by the issue of who owns the rights.

Re: Come gather round people....

The bit where Barry McElduff complains about some of the Ulster players not singing the SS whilst playing for Ireland. Is that really a "bugbear" for nationalists in the north? That comment puzzled me. Genuinely interested to hear from anyone who wishes to announce themselves as nationali...
