Re: Rory Best: Our coaches are crap.......well nearly!!!

I don't think the debate is Steenson v PJ but wind the clock back 10 years and it would have been Steenson v D Hump in his final playing days and his form falling off a cliff, Adam Larkin and NOC... We did also let Ian Humph go to Leicester Tigers at a similar time IIRC ? I didn't think iHump was i...

Re: Rory Best: Our coaches are crap.......well nearly!!!

Seymour and to a lesser extent Bealham were the out and out failures to identify talent given they went on to be capped elsewhere. Steenson is another example. They guy is a solid pro rather than an international but Ulster could have done with a solid pro in the days when NOC and iHumph were lining...

Re: Rory Best: Our coaches are crap.......well nearly!!!

I thought that Seymour wanted to leave because he thought he had more chance of playing for Scotland than Ireland. He left because Humphreys didn't offer him a contract ! Wouldn't blame Humph, not that you are. Seymour was behind established players / internationals in Bowe and Trimble at...

Re: A little bit of politics folks`

The country is coming together, I want parliament to come together. From the slavering maw of a practiced political liar, that translates as: I am an opportunist who recognises that an election is virtually unloveable, I can then proceed with the hard BRexit that is one of only two possible courses...

Worth seeing then.

Spall has played Churchill and Turner (the artist) recently (as well as ahem, David Irving, a Nazi apologist...)

Who did Ian Og think should play his da? Harrison Ford?

Re: Film Review Section *** NEWish ***

How bad do youse think thon fillum about the Chuckle Bros is going to be? Poor? P$ss poor? So feckin bad it's actually quite good? Is that the one with Timothy Spall playing the Ravarand ? I think Spall is really good and if anyone can pull it off, he can, but the trouble is he may have a load of s...

Re: Munster versus a side they are expected to beat.

Rumour is that Munster will be putting out their C team.

This will prompt accusations from the Welsh that the IRFU have instructed Munster to do this so Ulster make the play-offs.

These accusations will be proven to be false when Ulster are humiliated by the Munster C team.

There is an article on the42 http://www.the42.ie/leinster-attack-ireland-sean-obrien-3322700-Apr2017/ I suppose you’ve more of a license with the way we are playing now with Leinster than we do at international level,” said O’Brien It's all quite bland player interview stuff... nothing like "Sc...

Re: Other Not the Heiny/Amlin Cup 16/17

Bilbao will be host of 2018 Not The Heineken finals. Newcastle (upon Tyne...) will be the host of the 2019 finals. Not a bad idea to move the finals around rather than the same old, same old places. I've been to Bilbao before but not recently. It's an interesting place, plenty of good places to eat ...

Re: Lions Tour of NZ 2017

I never buy the Sunday Times but I was in a coffee shop yesterday and someone had left a copy at the table so I read their rugby coverage of the weekend.

I saw that Stephen Jones is still WUMing as his starting XV for the Lions only had a single Irish player. Rob Kearney.
