Re: 6N 2020

Not JVdF biggest fan but stats appear to suggest he ran just two metres less from half as many runs as CJ and also made 12 tackles plus scored one try. Hardly missing maybe he does unseen work but as I say not his biggest fan. With two MotM performances that should cement CJ for the next Lions tours...

Re: 6N 2020

Cooney’s delivery at least a gear faster if not two it was chalk and cheese however a central contract will ensure the status quo for at least another year... Wales appear to be learning a new game plan with a coach deciding to start putting his style down early. North is done and their new centre l...

Re: 6N 2020

Cooney appeared to operate at a different pace to Murray. Central contracts are great and anyhow winning the Championship will set the foundation of another great World Cup campaign next time..

Re: 6N 2020

Really interesting perspective from one of my D4 reporting friends... He suggests that Ireland have shown clear signs of evolving since JS and also that sexton is still the business. Strangely I seen neither. The only thing we agreed on was he agree that Cooney improved things and could start agains...

Re: 6N 2020

Training well in week before match is clearly more important than 12 months of playing indifferently. Murray is still untouchable I suspect some will be annoyed if he still Isn’t first choice for the next Lions tour as well... Addison makes an ideal bench option given his ability to cover several po...

Re: ASM Clermont Auvergne Vs Ulster Sat 11th Jan @ 1.00pm BT Sport 3

Never expected us not to get out of this group more so once the English sides lose that first game they are already evaluating their own league position and where to go next. Next week Bath seconds will serve up five points or we will have questions to ask but for me very naive not taking the kicks ...

Re: Harlequins Away 13 Dec

It will be interesting to see whether by the time a British/Irish league is in place what will happen with these European games. The reality is if any of the English sides lose their first game they're already thinking about their own league position if they lose the second avoiding relegation is fa...

Re: Random mutterings on attending the match

Agree with much of the sentiment from BR and listening back on TV it is amazing how many expert fans we have shouting down every decision from the referee. The non forward pass was the best example with such knowledgable shouts each time it played on the big screen. Some can’t even understand the ar...

Re: Ruan Pienaar

Maybe we should have signed Ruan as emergency cover then. Anyhow the Aussie Head Honcho has had his contract extended at a time when from my understanding Ireland Has failed to reach any of its set targets in both sexes of the game. Anywhere else might decide now is the time to re-set and start agai...

Re: Japan RWC

Wasn’t sure the somewhat one dimensional Boks game plan could outdo the English but it did and it did so easily. The best team won. One for the purest but brut force won the day. England lacked something maybe the ABs was their final. Well done the BOKs

The Haka in my opinion has no place at RWC games ... tours etc are fine and they can do what they want at home.

Re: Japan RWC

Don’t believe the Boks have anything else in their locker and that it is England’s to loose. I always thought England would have to game to beat the ABs and it proved right. Jones had one job to do with England and he is one game from executing that yet coming second ext week will wreck that entire ...

Re: In Defence of Schmidt, Ireland's RWC and where to now?

Unless mistaken I hear little or nothing of the Ozzie head honcho who if not mistaken set the minimum goals for Ireland this year as winning a 6N and getting to the RWC SF. In other words Ireland failed to reach their stated goals and yet he gets a 300 yeAr contract extension..
