Re: ASM Clermont Auvergne Vs Ulster Sat 11th Jan @ 1.00pm BT Sport 3

Never expected us not to get out of this group more so once the English sides lose that first game they are already evaluating their own league position and where to go next. Next week Bath seconds will serve up five points or we will have questions to ask but for me very naive not taking the kicks ...

Re: Harlequins Away 13 Dec

It will be interesting to see whether by the time a British/Irish league is in place what will happen with these European games. The reality is if any of the English sides lose their first game they're already thinking about their own league position if they lose the second avoiding relegation is fa...

Re: Random mutterings on attending the match

Agree with much of the sentiment from BR and listening back on TV it is amazing how many expert fans we have shouting down every decision from the referee. The non forward pass was the best example with such knowledgable shouts each time it played on the big screen. Some can’t even understand the ar...

Re: Ruan Pienaar

Maybe we should have signed Ruan as emergency cover then. Anyhow the Aussie Head Honcho has had his contract extended at a time when from my understanding Ireland Has failed to reach any of its set targets in both sexes of the game. Anywhere else might decide now is the time to re-set and start agai...

If not mistaken Ferris called it at the time and from memory he was very surprised at no card being shown..

Re: Japan RWC

Wasn’t sure the somewhat one dimensional Boks game plan could outdo the English but it did and it did so easily. The best team won. One for the purest but brut force won the day. England lacked something maybe the ABs was their final. Well done the BOKs

Re: Japan RWC

The Haka in my opinion has no place at RWC games ... tours etc are fine and they can do what they want at home.

Re: Japan RWC

Don’t believe the Boks have anything else in their locker and that it is England’s to loose. I always thought England would have to game to beat the ABs and it proved right. Jones had one job to do with England and he is one game from executing that yet coming second ext week will wreck that entire ...

Re: In Defence of Schmidt, Ireland's RWC and where to now?

Unless mistaken I hear little or nothing of the Ozzie head honcho who if not mistaken set the minimum goals for Ireland this year as winning a 6N and getting to the RWC SF. In other words Ireland failed to reach their stated goals and yet he gets a 300 yeAr contract extension..

Re: Japan RWC

Stockdales ability of intercept tries does mask a poor defence but at the same time if all his line rushing which has now caught him out on a number of occasions isn’t to Joes plan then why has he not been discarded before now.. I haven’t of course analysed his defence like the highly paid gurus tha...

Re: Japan RWC

If not mistaken Mrs Stander was keen to stress that her hubby carried more yards made more tackles and did everything much better than everyone else..

Love reading some Irish press suggesting Janny had one bad game and that Hendo was effectively the worse forward and Stockdale the worse back.

Re: Japan RWC

I would be interested to see how an Ireland team picked on form would actually differ from the team that went out against the ABs. This was after all the number one team in the world according to the somewhat bewildering system used to decide this. Stockdale was starved of any ball and yet seemingly...

Re: Japan RWC

Seems all the points and blame has been down to Stockdale... two mentions by BoD and one by PoC... no other Irish player deserves a mention. Feck this shyte come on the Blacks and stick 40 on this lot..

Re: Japan RWC

All Blacks have it all to lose... it’s in their heads that Ireland are a bogey team and if they go back to being chokers then I see Ireland upsetting the odds. Let’s face it Ireland are shyte one dimensional boring and past their sell by date strangely I see them turning up and the ABs struggling. I...
