Re: How do you rate Pienaar as a 9?
Is Pienaar going to be #9 or will he be a utility who can play #9 or #10 with equal ease? Just wondering.... have any noises been made in that direction?

Re: D'Arcys contract??
lads,
I hardly think that someone so successful in RL in Australia will have a size issue over here! It's not exactly tiddlywinks he's been playing thus far!

Re: Boss going to Leinster??
I guess if Declan is thinking of a Boss/Sexton partnership it makes sense. It also makes more sense to have half-back combinations on the same team - so that during a season you can chop and change with pairings at club/provincial level and don't have to gamble with pairings at international level. ...

Re: We had destiny in our own hands today
I for one am immensely proud of a first competitive win on english soil in goodness knows how many years. I'm sure the souls that made the trip to the west country are hitting the cider very, very hard now. Fair play and brilliant finishing Ulster.
Trimble immense....... Danielli not too bad either!

Re: 70 weeks for Attoub
is it just me or does anyone else think 70 weeks is a tad excessive? perhaps an initial harsh penalty that will be reduced considerably upon appeal... Nope, don't think it's excessive at all. The initial penalty was similar to that meted out to Dupuy, but the action of both players gives such a sta...

Re: 70 weeks for Attoub
anyone aware of the make up of the ERC itslelf? it's chaired by a frenchman with 1 member of each of the 6 nations on the board.... so obviously the French ERC chairman and French IRB chairman are still waging the 100 years war (Attoub's quote) against the poor wee French club like I said before, th...

Re: 70 weeks for Attoub
Mad Max On a à faire à quelqu'un (le juge) d'excessif et, à mon avis, de mal intentionné vis-à-vis des Français. (Le Sud-Africain Schalk) Burger avait pris huit semaines, Attoub prend soixante-dix semaines. Cherchez l'erreur very roughly translated. "we've been done by someone (the judge) who ...

Re: 70 weeks for Attoub
I'd still like to see Mad Max hauled before some discipliniary committee for the comments he made about the ERC and their processes. If Venter is being punished for allegedly bringing the referee's neutrality into question, then Mad Max's comments about an entire organisation seem like an open and s...

Re: 70 weeks for Attoub
from what I've gathered, synopsis: the player himself showed no remorse and kept denying it. And when pressed based on the evidence just pleaded the 5th his counsel kept on ignoring questions directed to her and complaining that the process was unfair their 'expert' photo evidence tried to claim dis...

Re: 70 weeks for Attoub
just read the ERC doc in full. I hope some heads will roll down in paris, the manner in which they've conducted their "defence" is shocking. Starting with madame moyersoen - this is what the chairman had to say about her testimony I interrupted Mdme Moyersoen, reminding her that I had alre...

rugby clubs in edinburgh
Bit of a shot in the dark on an Ulster forum, but does anyone have any contacts with rugby clubs in edinburgh? My (dutch) team are heading over for our trip in march 2010 and my job is to find an opponent. I've sent mails and filled in online forms for just about every edinburgh rugby club i can fin...
