I got mugged yesterday. All of my money taken. I know this probably isn't the correct thread for this but it did happen when I was filling the car at my local Go station. I called the police and when they arrived they called for an ambulance, seeing the distressed state I was in. Finally when my blo...

I see we've ventured into "What are you watching" territory here. Last movie I went to see was Operation Mincemeat. Based on a true story, it tells the tale of a whopper misdirection during the second unpleasantness. It was ok but I felt it the original B&W movie "The Man Who Neve...

There's many a back, who on a cold winters day, wind howling and rain coming at you sideways, wished they played in the pack.

Or else reintroduce it in it's original form. Quite a bit of skill required to catch a ball and make a mark with your heel.big mervyn wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 3:53 pm They need to get rid of the mark. It's a too easy get out these days.

Get yourself a Trilby and a trench coat. Put a card with Press written on it in the headband. Sneak onto the pitch with your camera that has a flashgun the size of a satellite dish. Take photos of the players exiting the tunnel. Having said that you'll have to be quick changing the flashbulbs. Apart...

Hit the nail right on the head there Rum. "Yes the kids enjoy it." That, believe it or not, is the whole point of participating in any sport. You also have to remember that these kids are starting out on a rugby journey and you are expecting them to be playing like seasoned pros. Really?

Have to admire Rory's restraint during the match commentary when asked what the problem was with the Irish scrum. He praised the strength of the english instead of calling them a shower of cheating baskets. Sadly the ref was the only one who wasn't aware of what was going on.

The overhead shot of the scrum after england's first penalty clearly shows the loose head boring in. I could've parked my car in the gap between the loosie and the hooker.

Re: scrummaging..........whats the point?
Some of you may have forgotten that the laws of rugby apply to everyone from the All Blacks down to (insert club name here) 4ths. It would be inhuman to expect guys who maybe only train a couple of nights a week to run constantly for 80 minutes around a boggy pitch. So in answer to the original ques...
