Re: Positives & Negatives: Ulster vs. Treviso

-ves Agree with many and very much Amiga 500. After 2 promising years for Treviso, they've fallen off something shocking this year. With Zebre offering nothing and the Scottish and Welsh teams (especially a Glasgow team who looked the business at the end of last year) disappointing, this is bad for ...

Re: What a Roller Coaster Ride This Season Has Been.

Although huge disappointment at the big day losses, it's been a cracking year of rugby with the biggest surprise later in the season being the fact that we may have some decent Ulster born props in the wings. With close defeat leaving grit in the teeth, we'll hopefully be pushed on. Munster and Lein...

Re: Shane Logan Must Go! What is your view?

Not being in Belfast these days, I don't get to hear his comments on many things and certainly the RDS thing is slightly annoying. Apart from that, the 3 years he's been at Ulster have been the best in the history of Ulster rugby (Barring a certain balmy 1999). 3 knockout qualifications in a row aft...

Re: Mr Nick Williams

Obviously Nick's been a bit of a revelation for us this year compared to his previous couple of years performances, but I wouldn't say he's much ahead of Roger. Apples and oranges innit. Nick's has had some truly spectacular performances, but also a couple of loose games. For me, Roger hasn't had a ...

Re: Positives and Negatives : Scarlets v Ulster

+ve Most important - INJURY FREE!! 10 out of 10. Away win against the No.2 team in the league - Can't be bad Comfortable win, which most results have been this year. We theoretically could've lost to Munster and we should've lost to both Italians teams, but apart from that, we've looked assured in a...

Re: Is this true?

Can't believe it. Just awful. As said elsewhere remembering the interview with him and his sister with her paintings last year, it showed such a lovely down to earth, very close knit loving family. Hard to reminisce at this early shocking stage, but what a player. What a loss to all. Thoughts with h...

Re: Why is PW going to New Zealand?

It's a hard one to do, if you're leaving your family holidays just they're to make up numbers. Saying that, I'd love to see PW playing. He has never really shone at International level, However IIRC,a couple of his best ever International performances have come against the All Blacks and he always s...

Re: Mexicans

Met nothing but good people on Saturday. Special props to the Leinster fan beside me who was an absolute gent throughout. I could not have asked for better company. I felt it was slightly subdued compared to other games (probably the early scores caused that) but still wonderful. As has been said, n...

Re: Anyone else going to twickers on their tod?

Coming down on my own from the Mighty Leeds myself (just decided to get the 8:40am train to have a couple of scoops, otherwise, I could've offered lifts). I hate being in Yorkshire when the six Nations is on. After we finally started beating England regularly in the last few years, I've been able to...

3: The first SUFTUM at Aviva in the Semi - shivers up the spine! 2: The drama at Thomond - Just thrilling 1: The beating of Leicester I watched the Leicester game again at the weekend. The bonus point and score didn't come close to showing the superiority of the day. We were just immense in every de...

Re: The Tigers are coming!

It may be a bit of a stereotyped cliche these days, but as an Ulsterman who's been exiled Yorkshire for many a year, I find Belfast's Curry houses to be okay but nothing spectacular. The good ones are good but are expensive. IMO, I can get a great curry in Bradford or Leeds (as you can in Leicester)...

Re: Ireland Ticket Prices

Newbie here jumping in. Firstly, my English wife with very little interest in rugby and sport knows only one rugby player's name - Ronan. The only other player she refers to 'the nice wee bald man' (Stringer), but that's about it. :-). I'll have to teach her some new names :-). I've a similar opinio...

Re: Fri nights game on TV?

'Ello all, newbie from the North (of England) 'ere. I may be being daft, but when I look at BBC Radio Ulster schedule it's just lists live coverage of the Footy and no mention of any Rugby coverage (and usually the BBC Website states if there's radio coverage for a game, which it doesn't in this cas...
