Re: Redevelopment.
Well football are getting a shedload extra for sport development and other local stadia. Brings back the old argument rugby (14million) v football (61 million) v GAA (61 million). Oh wait......lets not go there!!

Re: Redevelopment.
Think there has been quite a few changes. Main one being the aquinas end is to have a terrace now rather than all seated and thus the same as the memorial end. All walkways to the rear of the terracing rather than the front to bring crowd closer to pitch. Changing rooms in aquinas and main stand now...

Re: Ulster v Castres - Positives & Negatives
Re-watched the game last night. In the 1st half we were very good, should probably have scored another try, in the 2nd half we looked like a poorly coached team who wasn't sure what they were meant to be doing, not enough numbers in he breakdown was for me the biggest problem. Lets hope they snap o...

Spoke to a couple of players after the match last night. Couple of quick points - Allen expects to be ok for next week ankle just a bit sore and stiff (they always say that don't they) and Mike Philips astonished at what that Ulster team had just thrown at them! Great night.

Relieved to note fellow posters are also against the cringeworthy Americanisation which is creeping into our traditional sporting events. Here's hoping those in charge at the Aviva also avoid the Stade Francais choice, ie knights on horseback and swooping birds of prey. Perhaps we should go with Sp...

Re: Thomond Experience
Don't know where people/media are getting this "spine tingling" atmosphere from. It was a poor enough atmosphere from the home support. My second time there and expected it to be much louder as it was a sellout/big match. Just checkout O'Garas final penalty on the highlights and there is b...

Ulsters buildup vs Munsters??
Leading into the big QF, who is in the better situation? Ulster with an easy-ish game vs Treviso and an easy game vs Aironi, or Munster with a tough-ish game vs Connaught and a tough game vs Leinster?

Possibly too keen to go down the Leinster route of an unknown quantity. It worked out well for them but was risky. Surely Humph has consulted Afoa and Payne and they must have talked him up, big time. Not overly filled with confidence, could be an amazing success or a complete disaster. Humph hasn't...

Ruthless by Ulster......fecking ruthless. I have been big critic of McGlock in the past but cant"t help but feel for him. Haven't watched the conference and not going to bother, I hear it's pretty grim. The writing was on the wall after only giving him a one year contract last year......basical...
