Re: Lions 2021

The tour captain and test captain are not necessarily the same thing, in the last tour Gatland did not start tour captain Warburton in the first test and O'Mahony led them in that match.

Re: Munster 2020/21

Sounds awful, it appears de allende and snyman got the worst of it. Hope they all recover with no lasting impact.

On another note I wonder how many injury jokers Munster will get to cover this?

Re: Pro 12 20/21

Didn't really see much of the match but early on I saw replays of Porter hitting Kleyn in the head with the shoulder. No penalty or anything, was there no chat of it by the referees?

Re: SIX NATIONS 2021

So Ref tells England captain to have a word with his team, while they are still in the middle of pitch he says time on and Wales kick cross field to score...mental!

Wales jammiest team in world Rugby.

Re: Ulster v Ospreys Fri Feb 26 8pm KO

Is feeding into the 2nd row not an offence at scrums now, where they not mad hot on that not too long ago? Aye, but then they changed their minds. So long as hooker actually heels the ball, it can be fed as crooked as you like. And he's allowed to have "feet up" waiting for the ball too. ...

Re: SIX NATIONS 2021

League has undoubtedly influence the modern defence used in Union but defence is possibly 60% the other 40% is attack and league is a game of yardage first and foremost whereas Union is a game of space which is something very few if any league coaches know how to create. You clearly do not watch mu...

Re: SIX NATIONS 2021

Farrell is ex Rugby League like Kiss a New Zealand rugby coach once said to me you can never win at Union with a Rugby League coach Rugby League is Americian Football without the Huddle and the forward pass a game of yardage hence one pass into contact by the forwards or a kick as first option by t...

Re: Ulster ‘A’ v Leinster ‘A’ Fri 15th Jan 3pm KO Live on BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport NI website

No its not -- watch Jackson or Ruan the arm movement is minimal the firmness and sureness of their pass comes from their wrists. The same thing is true in golf -- the power of the shot is provided by timing the use of the wrists. This is complete an utter nonsense (like the rest of the post), the p...

Re: Leinster v Ulster Fri Jan 8th 7:35pm KO

Once again we get sucked into playing exactly the way Leinster want us to. Constantly running into their defensive wall so they can put 13 men in it. Don't remember us trying a single grubber or little dink over the top to make them think. All they had to do was tackle, not commit to the ruck and ge...

Re: Ulster v Scarlets Sunday 7:35pm

Did anyone else spot the swinging arm by Kalamafoni to the side of Coetzee's head when he stayed down for a bit? A few minutes later the same player shoulder charged Coetzee and then had to go off for a HIA. Didn't see replay of either so couldn't be sure.
