Re: Autobiographies

Just read “Forever Young”, a biography of Adrian Doherty, a contemporary of the “Class of 92” at Manchester United, and regarded by those who saw him as better than those who made it. Injury early on meant he never made the top flight of professional football, and his life was tragically cut short. ...

No. You were rubbish.

Could I also suggest you correct the spelling of your name. I think that "LAME" more accurately describes your physical (and mental) state.

Re: Russ ... Baggy ... the PRL beat you to it!!!!

I have heard a rumour here in South Wales that a back up list has been put together just in case some players won't be released for the upcoming "Not very likelies" vs. "Highly improbables". Top of that list is the bronze statue of Gareth Edwards that stands in St Davids Centre i...

Re: Ireland v Wales

Your absolutely bonkers, bois Bach! Liam Williams isn't a dirty player! He's more committed than anyone you know though! A lot like the great JPR. JPR? You'll have to be more specific and tell us who you are talking about. Recent performances form any Welsh team would lead me to think that "JP...

Positives - Born in Lisburn
Negatives - Living just outside Cardiff and retired two years ago so can review the match with my former Blues colleagues. I suppose a phone call will have to do!

Re: Where roughly is the Olympic Torch now mate?

In about 30 mins time (8.30 am Sat 26th) the torch will be passing the bottom of my road in Barry, South Wales. I'm sure some will see it and tell me what it was like.

Just finished Barefoot in Mullyreeny. Bryan Gallagher recounts stories of his childhood in Fermanagh in the 40's and 50's. If you aren't smiling as you read this, check your pulse!

Re: What are you listening to?

Just listening to my newly arrived copy of Humble Pie's Performance : Rockin' the Fillmore. I keep telling myself its part of my mid life crisis, but my wife says that at my age I'm just deluding myself. I'm not usually one for co-incidences, but given the uncertainty around Stephen Ferris's injury,...

Re: ASK THE EXPERT

Baggy, I have indeed been helped. The level of erudition in your answer leads me to think that you will be able to answer a couple of questions relating to the English language that have always baffled me. 1. Why does the word MONOSYLLABLE have 5 syllables 2. Why does the word PHONETICS not start wi...
