Re: Replacement 10

Yes it's frustrating to hear of us being knocked back on the out-half hunt, but my guess is this dates back to the period when the IRFU were pushing the Carberry/Byrne to Ulster plan. That hasn't panned out, not our fault. I still expect us to sign a good NIQ 10. (Jantjies for one is still on the m...

Re: Dragon slayers V House Henson

I can't say I saw the ball actually hit Tommy's hand but the ball did change direction as it passed it - I'm guessing the right angle slowed down would have shown contact. I'd have been pretty miffed if it had been given as a Dragons supporter. Although I'd be pretty miffed about everything if I was...

Re: Dragon slayers V House Henson

Do the Dragons have money on Stockdale being top try scorer this season?

Yeah, but its nice to actually gullwhack a not good team instead of trying to be worse than them.

Re: Dragon slayers V House Henson

This is odd. I'd kinda forgot what it was like to enjoy watching Ulster.

Re: Where did it all go wrong?

The fact that we seem to be constantly lurching from one crisis to another off the pitch, through either player power (allegedly) ousting coaches or a dysfunctional coaching set up also reflects poorly on Logan and the upper layers of management. Have the players (allegedly) ousted a coaching set u...

Re: Brett Herron

That apart, we have a lad of similar age who for my money shows more promise, add in young Angus Curtis who seems a prodigy if South Africans are to be believed & that leaves Herron without a pot to pish in. Well Herron was meant to be worth a punt too from what English folk said... here's hopi...

Re: The Henderson Conundrum....

Twenty-five today. Happy birthday to the big man. And aye, guess he isn't where I thought he'd be aged twenty-five. I think Henderson's main problem is staying fit long enough to get a run of important games in which to set down a marker and get a real head of steam up. His ability to make an impact...

Re: Arno Botha

note to any young Ulster back-row player hoping to put on the white shirt.. MOVE ON. That's been true for a long, long aul time. Arno Botha changes nothing for the young (and not so young) would be back rows of Ulster. Their focus should be on overhauling guys like Ross, Wilson and Diack. If they c...

Re: One rule for them...

No we were not totally denied having a replacement, but we were told we could only get a IQ one from one of the other academies, we were not allowed a NIQ replacement for an existing NIQ player. Cheers. This is one of those "No, no, we're not denying you the ability to sign Stephen Moore, I'm ...

Re: One rule for them...

I distinctly recall the rumour here being that we'd got someone good lined up for replacing Coetzee and were told to use the academy. Has this rumour been squashed since then? I remember hearing that Dublin said no to a replacement, but don't remember who said it. Granted many of the rumours posted...
