Re: After HEC Round 5
Being a glass half empty kinda bloke I fear the most likely scenario after next wend's games is all the Irish teams away to all the French sides. Looking at the tables and next weekends fixtures it all seems reasonably straightforward - If we beat Leicester we top the group and play Saracens, if we ...

Re: Just asking .... is it just me ....
A Lions tour is one of the very few rugby events to be mainstream news. If you love rugby you should embrace the Lions. Almost any event in life it seems must be surrounded in razzmatazz and hyperbole, if the Lions tour is to succeed in capturing the public's imagination it has to follow suit. Somet...

Re: Ulster v Leinster Positives and errr.... Positives?
Expected a close game but eventual defeat, even up until the final whistle (2nd one). So absolutely delighted to see us back to early season form. The timing could be perfect. We have the players who thrive on momentum and confidence, Williams and Trimble especially. When this team are on a roll it'...

Re: Ulster v Leinster - Armageddon!
There's a teak toughness about that Leinster side. 1-12 they will be as strong as anything we've faced this season. We could easily lose this match if we aren't 100% focused and up for the physicality that their forwards enjoy. Will be interesting to see which of the two teams have a hangover from t...

Re: Leinster: Respect
Agreed.
I want us to win badly but part of that is because we hold Leinster in such high regard. An awesome rugby force. They mix the will to win with respect and grace.
Still praying for a 'saints away' style humbling though!!

Re: Ulster players on the lash
The reaction to red top's post is indicative of how proud and protective we are of our players.
They've worked hard and had a great season up to now.
They deserve some fun, they've earned it, and it's fantastic to see the support at one on this...red top you're on your own!

Re: Potential HC sedings after Rnd 4
Yeah I had a look at the remaining fixtures and likely results.
The tigers home or maybe away depending on our castre result looks the probable outcome.
After the saints result I won't predict any big match score but I'd still rather play the tigers home or away than the top French sides in France!

Re: Any news on Tommy?
The fact they took so many precautions and splinted the leg looked to me like a suspected broken leg.
Which although bad would not necessarily end his season.
Totally gutted for him if it is a bad one.

Re: Ulster v Saints - Positives and Negatives
Positives - We were due a defeat and as of the present time it does not need to have been a damaging one. Muller was missing, had he played and we performed like that it wouldve been far more concerning. Negatives - The forwards simply werent up for it, most likely complacency being the major factor...

Re: Good game saints.
Knew we were in trouble when i heard gusher Neilly declare on radio ulster this afo that he wasn't in any way concerned about tonight! The way some fans were talking this week it was as if they'd never seen an Ulster match before this season and assumed we were invincible (Belfast Tele especially)! ...

Re: Ireland v Argentina........Nov 2012
Despite the OP I've never had anything other than respect for the Pumas. They play with a pride and togetherness i've never witnessed in an Ireland team. Their performance at the RWC 2007 has never been matched by any Ireland side and dont give me all this weeping over ROG, he's always been happy to...

Re: Zebre v Ulster
Only two matches?! My plan of attack this w'end (if wife and kids don't get in the way) is Wales v Samoa tonight, try and sneak a look at the scots game, obviously watch 'Ulster' v Fiji then the highlights of the England match on bbc3, then hopefully Ulster's reserves v Zebre on the iplayer some tim...

Re: Predictions for Leinster
Am I just hopelessly pessimistic then, Leinster to cruise this match.
Their side just looks too strong, if they're up for it they could win by 15pts.
Without Rory, Ferris and Afoa we are considerably weaker, hope I'm
proved wrong though.
