Re: Local rugby club
Unsure as to who Diack is affiliated too, D'Arcy has played for Hinch, Emerick played for Malone. As of next year I think all NIQ players can't be allocated to a club it is only Irish Qualified players that will be allocated and they must be allocated to a club in Division 1. So does that mean play...

Re: Local rugby club
This may sound like a really stupid question but are our South African players linked to clubs so that if they were to get badly injured they could get a bit of game-time when they come back? Players like D'arcy and Diack have played for Ballynahinch I think and in his short time here Emerick also p...

Re: Ulster v Connacht
I really hope Gaston gets the chance to. He has real potential and deserves his chance. He is actually quite similar to D'arcy in that he likes to run the ball back at the opposition when playing full back. Well for Dungannon anyway. D'arcy has had a good season though so I don't think one bad game ...

Re: All Ireland League
Congrats to all the clubs. This time last year club rugby in Ulster was looking bad with Ballymena and Ballynahinch both going down but they have bounced back and Harlequins have come up with them. Good luck to Banbridge in their play-off!

Re: Ulster v Connacht
Ireland internationals Paddy Wallace and Andrew Trimble are not available for the match after they each suffered a fractured thumb. Well that will solve the wings and full back then. Danielli, Gilroy and Darcy most likely. Gilroy was very impressive last weekend and is a try scoring machine at the ...

Re: Ulster v Connacht
Danielli is much better at 11 as he can come in off his wing and run at a angle. Don't drop Darcy after one poor match.Gromit wrote:I'd Like to see Danelli back at full back with Gilroy and Trimble on the wings. Might look at starting Cave too if fit. Really need to go for bonus point win.

Re: Local rugby club
Good idea for a thread. For the gannon men hows young Lawton getting on there? Lawton has played very well and since Gilroy has been playing for Ulster he has been starting regularly on the wing and is our first choice goal kicker. There are a couple of videos on the Dungannon website if you look u...

Yes I think I remember him playing and scoring for Ulster against Queensland in a friendly.

Re: Local rugby club
As you can tell by my name I am a massive Dungannon supporter. I go to all there home games and I love watching them play. Seriously if you gave me the choice between a day out at the Aviva to watch a Ireland game or a AIL game at Stevenson I would chose the latter every time. I'm very passionate ab...

Re: SIMON DANIELLI RETIRES WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT
I say give him a chance after his performance in Northampton. I still believe he has another season in him with Ulster and after all he has a life here as I mentioned before. I don't think he will clear off just as quickly as people think he will and I for one hope he doesn't and he has had some cra...

Re: Give Jerry Cronin a contract
Hopefully we will see a bit more of Cronin in the Connacht and Dragons games. I have seen him in a couple of AIL games and has looked pretty good in both the scrum and in defence. He was impressive last night.

I think Danielli and Muller are ok. McLaughlin just did not want to risk them.

Re: Rugby World Cup 2011
Congrats to McDowell. There is one Ulsterman definitely going to the World Cup anyway! What has happened to Peter Allen? I always thought he was a great assistant referee!
