Re: Positives & Negatives : Ulster V Munster reserves

by CIMANFOREVER » Sat Dec 31, 2011 2:17 pm Terblanche's positioning all night was exemplary- an example to the younger guns. Well taken try too You might want to have a wee look at the game again  Had Cave's pass been flat or behind like it should instead of forward then Terblanche would have ...

Re: In Fairness to McGlock

The uniqueness of the xmas fixture list dictated the strategy that was employed. If it ever happens under normal circumstances, ie having the usual 6 or 7 day turnaround, then I'd be as appalled as you all are now.

Re: In Fairness to McGlock

Wonder if we were in a Heiny QF away to Leinster on a Sunday and still in contention for the Rabo, whether McGlock would send out the kids against Leinster and save the main team for a game the following Friday in the Rabo.... Save yourself the bother of wondering...he wouldn't in a billion years g...

Re: In Fairness to McGlock

That was my point who in the entire squad could have utilised from the bench to overturn the Leinster result.

Re: In Fairness to McGlock

Who threw the towel in? A team littered with internationals were still within touching distance at 60 mins, who threw what towel in? If we then had a bench to bring on then maybe we might have got sorting out of it as I said yep we are brill we beat be of the worse Munster teams to come to Ravers ?...

Re: In Fairness to McGlock

All is forgiven not that I thought there was anything to forgive The gamble worked....... gamble ? We were Always going to beat a Munster A team,or was there a lack of confidence? still uncomfortable in sending out a team to lose, but as I said earlier maybe I am old fashioned, couldn't imagine aski...

Re: Positives & Negatives : Ulster V Munster reserves

Biggest positive? Just popped unto Munstersfans for a minute. A poster called Thommond78 was a right auld laugh, 1 of the worst losers I have ever read on any rugby forum. Apparently Rolland was the reason lost according to many posters on Munsterfans!!!! Without a doubt the biggest positives must ...

Re: Ulster Vs Munster

Good chat Dave, though I still think we are both equally unswayed! Would like to hear your thoughts about beating Munster now in the light of their team announcement. I expect they are having similar discussions on their forum equivilant that we have just had. :salut: As Rooster says we have lost t...

Re: Ulster Vs Munster

Its all fair comment Rooster, rum and Dave and all it comes down is the fact that for me it is simply an attitude. The pair of you think that we could not have won in Dublin regardless of anything and I would say you would not know unless you try. As I have said, I never stated we couldn't win but ...

Re: Leinster v Ulster

Petulant on ulster's part, hurting no one but their own supporters. Lots of little interesting tidbits coming out at the moment though, aren't there What could they have done differently? I think it's clear from that article that they didn't want to send down a ravens side but TV scheduling forced ...

Interesting that one of the most optimistic posters is in agreement with one of the most pessimistic posters. Although agreeeing on the inadequacy of the management none the less.

Re: Ulster Vs Munster

Good response Dave but a Leinster team minus Cullen, Heaslip, OBrien,Sexton Odriscoll, Nacewa and Rob kearney are not at their strongest no matter how good their replacements are. Yes of course, but you said it was an average team, which I objected to. On the replacements I would have had Ofoa , Pi...

Re: Ulster Vs Munster

...it would not be unreasonable to assume that a stronger Ulster team would have been in a position to win it. You think I am deluded like so many Ulster fans but in my opinion you reflect our small time inferiority, safety first,no risk complex that has restricted our game in recent years. These a...
