Re: Rory Best Interview

I see Rory's response initiated only one tweet on#suemepaddy - the # Ibelieveher is taken up with some much International accusations that a Tweet about the trial would get totally lost and be pointless and having won their vote on abortion the Irish SHECATS have gone quite. #Istillbelieverher has a...

Re: Rory Best Interview

While most of the world has moved on — it is a controversial part of his time as the Captain of the Irish team and therefore something every interviewer will question .

Failing to answer could be as damaging because the interviewer and listeners could inferred something adverse by his silence .

Re: Rory Best Interview

Not really -- It was a mistake , a bad mistake on the part of Paddy's defence council, because it created the opportunity for the social media fishwives with an axe to sharpen. It also took the focus off the imperfections in Little Alexia's evidence being reported adequately in the Press . It has to...

Re: Ulster v Bath

It is about time those who write the Laws and those who apply them recognise the fact that most injuries and definitely the more serious injuries arising out of contact are suffered by tacklers not ball carriers. The player holding the ball knows the risk of being tackled and it is that risk which e...

Rumn

Played in many positions as well as being well schooled in the game by those who had played for many years ie listening to post match analysis and team selection discussions it trains you to watch the game being played by both sides and the referee.

Re: Salaries on the Pro14

From a point of being seen to be fair a disclosure of provincial salaries totals would be interesting Salaries -full time employees Sub divided -Coaching and admin- professional and club and schools . Total Player salaries sub divide Provincial Central and endorsement . And identification of highest...

Re: Ulster v Bath

IMHO I don’t think Gilroy isn’t the player he was before injury — there appears to be a desire to avoid physical contact and to be honest it is understandable having had back pain for 9 months would make anyone think twice . It’s a shame because he has served Ulster well in the past but with the num...

Re: Ulster v Bath

Re the scrum The Ulster scrum was fine on its own put in . Now as a prop I try to disrupt an opposition scrum ( disruption of the scrum being illegal by any means other than push) to do one of two things either to disrupt the quality of their heal and delivery to scrum half or to attempt to tire the...

Re: Ulster v Bath

To-days' game could be a banana skin -- with Bath feeling at home on a dead water logged pitch. The away game was tight so in my book it's not the foregone conclusion that seems to prevail in the minds of some. Yes Bath may be resting some but those who are on the team may have something to prove wh...

Re: Celtic Cup 2019/20

IF you had read their team sheet properly and compared it to Ulsters' the result was always a foregone conclusion.

To be honest I won't even have given Ulster a look-in at two trys

Re: 6N 2020

While Jackson hasn't claimed the 10 jersey at LI this could because they have another 10 but are short full backs. And he has on occasion had some very reasonable games for L I. But as Shan says it is the match day 23 that count -- the Ulster starters being --Henderson and Stockdale -- bench Herring...

Re: 6N 2020

Irish Rugby is not the same as English and while provincial differences exist in France it is nothing like that which exists in Ireland . ( read the comments in leinsterfans -Munsterfans- 42 ie ) The other factor in the Sexton equation is the fact he thinks he's playing football claiming penalties b...
