Re: 6 Nations 2024

English commenters are a real pain in the R/s

There are few playing their last season I think and Capt I’m not sure how much Lowe has improved he keeps his place for his kick and catch game most of his trys are close to being walk overs

Re: 6 Nations 2024

Ireland may haves difficult game here if the penalty against Lowe is to be an Englishman’s standard against Ireland .

Re: 6 Nations 2024

Of the three second rows last week Henderson was the one or sorted out the line out but did get blown twice -- once from a weak pass from Murray and the second was a 'homer" decision. In my Opinion Henderson fails the age test will he be there at the next world cup -- I wouldn't bet on it . Wil...

Re: 6 Nations 2024

The first English try was down to Lowe his clearance kick was to predictable and his failure to find touch allowed England to instigate a preplan play -- a run across the field to wards the retreating English backline focusing on the far side of the pitch a pass to a player who with two players outs...

Re: Contract Situation

Yes players can go beyond 30 but they need to go injury free . Being injury free is harder for backs and most backs start to lose pace at 30 and thus not the players they were and the professional game gets harder . There is the added factor of marriage as you get older and the need to think long te...

Re: Dragons Pre Match Q&A with Jonny Petrie

It could well be a loan made on the possible donation to rugby which could be due after sums have been donated to GAA and Football in respect of Stadium upgrade. Ie if a donation is made to Rugby the loan gets repaid. now the question is it interest free or not . repayment to Dublin being capital + ...

Re: Contract Situation

Re McCloskey he is 31 or thereabouts which means realistic 2 years playing provided he is injury free. Two years to maximise his income - the IRFU can’t invest money in a two year player whose best years may be behind him and injuries in front of him . The decisions on contracts are made in Dublin w...

Re: The skipper

He could make a very good Capt but only as a member of a leadership group Eg early in the match against the dragons Ulster had an easy penalty in front of the post but went for the corner . Not a bad idea against the dragons maybe but The opportunity would have given Ulster a two score lead without ...

Re: Team for Dragoons

Now I'm not quite as pessimistic as some here . In my opinion Ulster may note may have the beginnings of a decent back row in one -two years There is also a possible second row again in one to two years and the backline is still young . The problem with the second row may be that it may be light wei...

Re: Liverpool FC

Unfortunately while the tactics in both games may be same the means of achieving and implementing them are totally different in 15- a-side although. he, Klopp might make a good coach at 7s.

Re: Team for Dragoons

For me this looks to much like a Dan selection to be honest Hume as Capt his showing last time out was a failure the decision making ,was questionable, at best. There is also a problem identifying who is the pack leader . When Ireland had an out side centre as Captain ( BoD) ,PoC was the pack leader...
